Hopkins? All he did was rack up defenses that's about it. Oh and won a light heavy weight title. Mayweather has done much much more than that.

Hes knocking on the door but needs the pacquiao fight, win prefreably to enter that club. When you get to the top 20 or 30 there really isnt much to seperate the fighters. Same with the top 10, not much to seperate those top 10 fighters.

Unsure at the moment, but a win over Pac and I say he's in the top 25.

I don't know why so many people have Hopkins over Mayweather.

Right now i have him about in the 35-50 range if he beat Pac hes top 20. If he wins a middleweight belt i would have a case for top10

A win over Pac would put him comfortably in the top 20.

I would rank him above Hopkins.

Unquestionably yes. He would have been a world champion in any era.

thats the bottom line.....smh these people are ****ing strange!!!

Mayweather would have undoubtedly been a world champ in any era.....

And i dont know why people put so much weight on him fighting pac....i dont think that fight is that important to his legacy...

i think him fighting paul williams or martinez will be more challenging and do more for his legacy.....

i think after he retires for good people will consider him the best ever.....too many people judge him based on his personality which they dont like....thats all..

almost all the boxers in the top50 would've been champions in any era. That doesn't mean they are all top30. Its not a good argument

Not quite. He needs one or two more dominant victories over quality opposition to ensure that status. He's top 50 for sure, and that's still pretty damned good, all things considered.

except when 40 year old mosley puts him on ***** street and he gets beat by castillo...lets see him beat Pacquiao first...it needs to happen before Roach loses it
