They are the tougher fights than Pac,but Pac is the media darling and i can see Williams and Martinez beating him,but not Pac style wise,he's made to order for Mayweather.
A Pacquiao wouldn´t do much for his legacy imo... It´s a much smaller guy.. Money wise it´s a very interesting fight, but legacy wise?? I have him around 25th spot.. If he wants to go to the top 10.. Cotto and after that the Williams and Martinez is the way to go
I've never made a definitive list, my pick is "unsure", but eventually by the time his career is over I think he'll be considered by most "historians" to be a top 30 fighter.
you keep repeating this stupid line of argument that can apply to ANY fighter. If Kevin Howard could knock down SRLeonard then what would Mayweather do!? If Duran would have trouble with DeJesus, then what would Mayweather do!? If Hearns was beaten by a crude Barkley, then what would Mayweather do!? If Chavez was outboxed badly by Whitaker, then what would a bigger, stronger Mayweather do!?
Barkley was a big strong middleweight that could crack,is Mayweather like that? DeJesus is a very good fighter, Mayweather is not quite as good as Whitaker defensively and doesent have peas chin, and Mayweather does not hit as hard as Howard, nothing you are saying is holding any water at all.atsch
Not top 30, yet. He needs to fight Pacquiao, the only elite ATG available to him, who is also in his prime. Depending on how he fares against Pac, will be the major deteriming factor on how I rank him AT.
i know it would take a while but man i would just like to see who is above him if he is not in the top thirty....besides the obvious fighters.
what a bull**** thread! Is this a ***** convention? Mayweather top 30? Based on what? Other than Perceived skills which nobody would know if it is overrated, there is nothing to base that assumption. His resume is shocking if he is top 30, never had a defining win against someone. Retired when welterweight division was very hot and unretired when all the welterweights are damaged.
Top 50 but not top 30, yet. Hearns would have KO'd him within 4 rounds. Beat Calzaghe and he may get into top 30! :yep
SEE THIS IS ALL GOOD..BUT YOUR FORGETTING THAT OTHER THAN PACQUIAO FANS LIKE YOURSELF...THE OTHER BOXING FANS ARE SAYING PAC IS TOO SMALL AND FLOYD STILL WONT GET THE CREDIT HE DUE EVEN IF HE BEATS ON PAC... UR SAYING THIS CUZ U A FAN OF PAC...BUT U FAIL TO REALIZE THAT THE MAJORITY OF FANS FEEL MANNY IS TOO SMALL AS FAR AS UPPING FLOYDS RESUME AND LEGACY...IN MY OPINION A VICOTRY OVER PAC WOULD RAISE FLOYD AT LEAST A FEW SPOTS ON AN ATG LIST..BUT THATS JUST ME..THE MAJORITY OF FANS FEEL HE IS TOO SMALL..WHEN FLOYD BEATS PAC A NEW NAME WILL POP UP..ALWAYS DOES:thumbsup
LMFAO...SEE...EVEN THE CONSENSUS VIEW PROVES THAT YOUR JUST BIAS..:bart MAYBE IN YOUR MIND HE ISNT TOP 30..(HES TOP 35 IN MY BOOK)...BUT THIS JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT YOU DONT GIVE FLOYD CREDIT HE DUE.. LIKE IT OR NOT FLOYD IS IN A LOT OF TOP 40 LISTS NOW DAYS..:deal
