I see a lot of people turning this thread into a discussion about Mayweather's resumé and who he has or hasn't fought. Is that what being a living legend is all about? And if so, does that mean Mike Tyson isn't a legend? Finally, to those that voted no, answer me this: what boxer is more talked about in the world than Floyd Mayweather?
Pac's legendary status will far exceed Floyd's 50 100 years from now. Here's a kid from a poor country can't barely eat three times a day fighting for a measly 100 pesos ($2) to give it to his mom trains in a makeshift gym using improvised boxing equipment with little to no coaching from his amateur days came to America beat a lot of great fighters while moving up in multiple division became the number 1 P4P fighter in the world had every imaginable awards and recognition not only the the boxing world but to the whole Asia that he was the only fighter to grace the Cover of Time (Asia) became a congressman while fighting at the same time. Now compare that to Floyd LOLOLOL
He's a legend at 36 LINEAL at 147 and 154 I asked this question before at 36 how did SRL look was he winning fights? What about ALI, and did Duran at 36 keep his same form as he had at 29 ? Said it more than once Money is the best of the best enjoy him while you can.
The funny thing is If you made this thread about eveyone else on your list people would almost unanimously say yes . . . but you ask about the best of the bunch and the haters cry no.
Jasper, everyone of that list would have bunch of ****suckers whining about them. Especially floyd, pac and wlad. Of course floyd is living legend but to make thread sake of it. This is just lame.
lol, cant really argue with u there. the question is not if he is the goat (or any of them for that matter) or would he beat every fighter H2H with only one hand, but if he is a living legand. and is this the first lame thread you have read on here this week, day or hour. i find it funny that Floyd is such a polarizing figure that people would deny the truth because the detest him so. I am not a fan of everyone on that list but I would not deny that in some shape or form that they are all living legends.
There hate is strong but to be 36 and looking like your 28 in the ring and have every other thread about you if that's not a legendary boxer than who is?
Floyd and Pac ATG credentials took a big hit when they didn't fight each other 2-3 years ago. They are all time great fighters and kind of living legends but they lack a defining win against a fellow top tier ATG. Duran, Leonard, Sanchez have those type of wins and I rate those wins very high when I judge a fighter ATG status.
I wish this was a public poll so I could just add everybody who said "no" to my ignore list. Pretty obvious those are not rational people.
