Thats not the point. The point is that people are saying that Floyd is scared of Pac because he's a threat and that Floyd is afraid to lose, but yet when Castillo gave him a tough fight, he didn't take the title and run, but he gave the man an immediate rematch. Pacquiao had a draw with Marquez and made him wait 4 yrs for a rematch.

Because most athletes take long term deals chasing the stability of potential income provided they keep winning.

For fighters it means that you'll get guaranteed paydays and you'll get the fights that you want.

For Arum it means keeping options on a fighter for future promotions. If Mayweather's stock goes up and his profile rises, Arum already has him on the hook and is not obligated to paying him any more then what was agreed to.

If he loses, then fine. Most multi fight deals have provisions that declare that if a fighters marketability were to decline as a result of a loss or any other action then the promoter has the option to terminate.

Mayweather declined specifically because he couldn't get De la Hoya and he felt that he was being low balled with offers for Cotto and Hatton.

He took Baldomir for less money but was able to secure the De la Hoya fight and financially it paid off since he was free to market himself with the "Money" Mayweather persona that Arum didn't think would work.

Pac is a beast. An intelligent fighter like Mayweather isn't a fool and knows his own limitations.

This reminds me of when Mayweather was supposed to be afraid of Mosley, only for the fight to get signed and the people saying he was afraid have changed their tune to having him as the stand out favourite, making excuses for his opponent losing.

I just hope they fight soon so we can clear the remaining *******s that hung around after the Marquez robbery from ESB for good.

"Pac is a congressman, he has a life after boxing. What if I lose?"

No brainer right there. After all these bull****, we are thinking of things too much. Everyone went from being boxing fans to lawyers and all the way to nutrition and illegal substances experts. The answer was fairly simple and it was right there in front of us all along.

The fanboy inside just refused to deal with it and here we are now. :patsch

The mere fact that Floyd thought Pac was cheating is a sign of fear. No matter how you twist it.

The mere fact that Pac turned down random drug testing in 2009 was a sign of doping. No matter how you twist it.

Apparently that deserves another topic, my answer to that would be yes though.

But if you are smart enough to read the thread title...

    I doubt he is.

At least I hope he ain't.

Don't see Mayweather having a lot to be worried about with Pacquiao.

Personally, I don't think either of them really want to fight each other.
