Is Floyd Mayweather, Jr the only sub 160 lb fighter to beat Marvin Hagler in this era?

I new there was a reason I liked you @C.J. Hagler was robbed against Leonard, he was also robbed in the first Watts fight, and his first bid for the Middleweight crown against Antuofermo which was ruled a draw.

I think the key might be the rounds. 12 round fight might get Floyd a close decision but I doubt it and if the fight is 15 rounds hagler’s momentum would take over. Floyd would do well early but Hagler just kept coming, he was a southpaw which Floyd had problems with, was way bigger and was truly more skilled than people realize. Not to mention one advantage Floyd had on most of his opponents was he had more wind than them and they just couldn’t keep up the pace to win, Hagler wouldn’t have had that problem he was one of the best conditioned fighters of all time, the championship rounds belonged Marvin.

Marvin beats Fluid so bad, MVC instantly stops his crush on Fluid and falls in even deeper love with Hagler.

That’s how bad it would be.

    This.
Floyd is also one of my favourite boxers and an absolutely amazing one at that, I can never understand half the criticism he gets, but I have to agree. Hagler had an amazing chin and I think would be too big and strong. Hagler wasnt slow either and Floyd was never interested (understandably) in going up in weight that high

The Antuofermo fight was disgraceful!! People also forget SRL waited years before fighting Hagler, and it wasn’t for no reason. He waited for Hagler to get old and just had a brutal fight with mugabi that Leonard was ringside at. As a huge fan of Marvin it’s tough for me to say this but Hagler had started partying pretty hard with the Booz and coke so to say he wasn’t at his best is an understatement. Even so Hagler won 7-5 or mby even 8-4. Very similar to the fight and scoring of ggg-canelo.

Floyd has no business at 160, fighting anybody.

This thread is ridiculous! The question is, would Fluid (shout out to whoever came up with that name) even sign the contract?

    OK!

Mayweather isn’t fit to lace Leonard’s boots and any version of Hagler would destroy Floyd inside 4 rounds probably less!

when? in 1987 when Ray fought him? Maybe he could.. But not Hearns and before when Marvin was active. Marvin is not Canelo or a small and old Pacman. Big difference.

It would be closer fight than some are giving FMJ credit for in these comments but Hagler wins this fight at least 7 times out of 10 in my estimation.

    Hagler would beat Mayweather.

Mayweather never fought at middleweight and Hagler is one of the best middleweights of all time, imo he is the best, nothing suggest that Floyd would beat him.

To be honest i think this fight would be over faster than a lot of people think. Hagler by KO within 6 rounds is most
    likely.
