Hatton was 158lbs on fight night Collazo was 156lbs. Collazo was using his boxing ability catching him between shots and not rough housing Hatton by using his “size” and Floyd wasn’t a small welter, wtf?!
I already know that you're too lazy to rewatch the fight, so here's some highlights. This content is protected Effectively using size IS a skill. Collazo would routinely body Hatton off, then catch him with clean shots. Ricky couldn't smother him because he was too small and weak. Mayweather was a small welterweight. Wtf?
You can try all you like to credit Mayweather Hatton was trash at 147lbs as we had seen when fought Collazo there ..hence why he came back down and why Mayweather brought him up to 147. Hatton had fought most of his career at 140lbs, his OPTIMUM weight. Collazo was not dominating using his “size”, he was picking his shots covering up effectively when Hatton tried to swarm him. It doesn’t even look like you watched the highlights let alone the full fight Floyd wasn’t a small welterweight you moron
Didn’t you have a mental breakdown when people call Loma overrated. But when someone says Floyd is overrated it’s just discussion. Keep begging for my attention Lance you little female dog.
Hey, if your argument is that the weight had nothing to do with Hatton struggling with Collazo, I think that we agree. It's not like he ever ran into a Collazo style fighter at 140 to even compare, and he looked just fine until he started getting punched in the face, anyway. Maybe Hatton just wasn't all that great, even at 140? Just a thought. Moron.
You do realise this is a thread about Mayweather, right? The point in my original post is that Mayweather fought a trashier version of Hatton (who isn’t that good to begin with). You questioning Hatton wasn’t that great to begin just strengthens my original point, which I suspect is not something your responses have been about
A breakdown? Nope. People can call him overrated all they want. I'm not a pissy little schoolgirl like you are....
Unless you have any objective proof that Hatton is much better at 140 than he is at 147, I am not sure why your are so adament that Floyd fought a lesser version. The Hatton that got staggered vs. Collazo doesn't magically morph into a different fighter by losing more weight. That silly theory should have been put to bed with the Pacquiao fight. He'd get hit the same against a 140lb Collazo style fighter. Maybe you can explain why Hatton puts up a better fight at 140 against Floyd. What changes, in your opinion?
It's not rocket science if you've watched Hatton at both weights. Hatton struggling with a C-B level Collazo at 147 should be proof enough. 146 was simply not Hatton's optimal weight. You're arguing just for the sake of it...
Hatton's 40-0 record prior to Collazo was at 140lbs...Collazo was his first fight at 147lbs and Hatton looked bad, hence moving back down to 140lbs. Also, Collazo himself beat no-one of note. It's not hard to understand that fighting at one weight your entire career means your adjusted to that weight (140lbs in this example) and that fighting others in a bigger weight class (147lbs) means your fighting outside the weight you've historically weighed in at, hence not adjusted (do I really have to explain this?). The opponents Hatton fights at 147lbs are those that have experience fighting 147lbers (which he was not). You, yourself, have no proof Hatton is as good as he was at 147lbs as he was at 140lbs. My case that Hatton was best at 140lbs is clearer than yours. Ultimate point, MW fought the shittier version of Hatton
