I just think that since Mayweather brought up this **** about PEDs and testing, it's cast a shadow over the sport. Probably an undeserved one.
Why dont you put it this way. If Pac faced Baldomir, Corley or Bruseles, he'd have KOd the **** out of them. End of. atsch
Floyd is a multi division champ who is undefeated. If that isn't great, then you have a complex about the man that can't be cured. You should respect your boxing opinion more rather than picking infantile arguments with fans of Floyd.
Pac didn't fight Hoya at middleweight. And I also wasn't asking for a comparison of Pac's win vs Mayweather's. I asked what other featherweights out of the millions of featherweights in the history of boxing would be able to move up in weight and defeat Hoya at middleweight?
why are you trying to tell me how to make an unbiased assesment when you arent able to make one yourself? i dont give pac extra credit for beating diaz even though he was moving up in weight so why should i give it to floyd in a similar situation? you complain about the dangers of weight fluctuations but i can guarrantee that you are one of those "unbiased" fans who complained that pac shouldnt fight jmm above 140. the rest is just opinions on why fights didnt happen and the only thing in common is that floyd is smack dab in the middle of fights not happening. another opinion easyly proved as bull****. you asked for a name and i gave you one. you cant argue the name so you want to push untill one pops up that you can question. i think morales would do as well as oscar did against forbes and thats the same oscar floyd fought. the fact that a shot featherweight can even be considered to perform as well as that hoya should give you an idea of the level of victory both floyd and pac achieved with oscar.
How is anyone who performed like he did versus Baldomir or those much smaller and/or much older opponents than he was be called great? How can the epitome of cherrypicking be called great? How can a boxer who doesnt face challenges be called great? atsch
I don't think dude ever wanted to clean up the sport. However, reality is I think PEDs/Gear use is rampant in the sport. Conte estimates that a majority of elite boxers are on steroids. He's probably right. However, that's probably been the case for awhile, and there is no realistic solution to eliminate use, other than blood test the entire year? Plus it's not financially beneficial to the sport of boxing.
What does your opinion of who won the fight have to do with you naming the featherweights that can move up to middleweight and defeat Hoya?
