You can't even name the featherweights that can move up in weight and accomplish what he did if it was so easy.

Why didn't Mosley accept the challenge in 99? Why didn't Cotto or Hatton make fights when they were all Jr Welters? Why didn't Hoya or Mosley make the fights in 06?

    Undoubtedly so.

He might not have lived up to expectations but he's still undoubtedly great.

He's certainly by anyone's criteria a top ten superfeatherweight. He's also part of a small group of fighters who have been the actual champion at both lightweight and welterweight. He has beaten great fighters in hoya, hatton, mosley and marquez as well as some very good fighters like castillo, corales, hernandez, corley, gatti, mitchel, judah, baldomir.

He has missed out on some huge fights and went on a disappointing run between castillo and baldomir. He also had an ill timed retirement and his last two fights, whilst against great fighters, don't really say much about his current ability.

But certainly by anyone's criteria he is a great and I can't think of any reasonable argument keeping him out of the top 50.

This guy EgoyLover can't be serious...He just can't be...He makes baseless and ridiculous posts; but won't respond logically to anybody else. He is the definition of a "Casual Fan" and obviously has no real knowledge of the sport...It's comical...but this is the type of "Fan" that Bob Arum caters to...and for the record; answering basic questions with un funny responses and adding the smiley smacking its head akes you look even more foolish...But of course; because I don't agree with anything you say; I'm obviously a *****...

Shotdown by WHO you puffed up bag of ****!!

It's Mayweather thats got his best paydays by fighting opponants that have a massive following as in DLH/HATTON & MARQUEZ you useless one dog town mug:yep

HATTON was the $$$$$$ & thats why GBP rushed over too the UK straight after the mayweather fight to sign him up in partnership yer ****in hillbilly once they'd seen the MILLIONS blown just on booze at the MGM by the brits. You had about 200 mayweather fans in the areana if that:lol:

HATTON got the mega $$$$$ as they had the global rights outside the US. & when yer get 35,000+ flying into Vegas from around the world then the dumb "planet America" yanks realised that boxing just ai'nt in america.

Just to show you how popular mayweather is, hardly anyone at the MGM even knew that there was a fight taking place. It was a total BRIT thing & if hatton had been fighting DLH if would have been the same massive turn out of brits or whoever was champion at the time + it was the same with Pacquiao where 25,000 brits hit Vegas even during a global economic meltdown.

. Marquez gets brings the hispanic $$$$ & DLH all of america. Mayweather brings ****-all, he's not got a fan base that would put their hands in their pockets.

Mayweather could never sell any tickets for any of his fights, they all bombed & had to comped out, just go look at the attendance numbers at his fights, total SHITE:deal. DLH always sold out & so did Hatton

All thanks to DLH you now see mayweather demanding the big $$$$, but he can't generate those sort of $$$$ himself hence he'll not fight anyone that has'nt got a massive following to subsidise the lack of $$$ he can get from payers who want to see him win. Thats why he won't fight Pacquiao as he knows if he loses then he's ****ed his last $$$ out of the HBO trough & he knows that people will now pay to see him lose!!! So he'll cherry pick his way to easy paydays & least we forget he bugged out of the DLH re-match & why was that???....scared to lose his (0) thats all he's got going for him.

If Mayweather lost to Pac how many PPv's would he sell in his next fight??? ZIP!!! & live gate would be about 4K at that in some dog**** town in michigan. DLH lost & he still sold out time & time again but Mayweather has never ever brought any serious earning potential to the table as it just ai'nt there & thats been proven by his live gate & PPv's pre-DLH.

Mayweather in effect ai'nt the name, it's the opponants that carry the big $$$$$ & thats why he'll cling on for dear life to the HBO $$$$ trough & thats why he won't fight Pac as that $50MILLION will be his LAST:deal

Mayweather's been paid off the back of other fighters popularity. NOT HIS:bart

Conte is an idiot. To a surgeon, the solution is always surgery. Conte sees PEDs everywhere because they consumed most of his life.
