Marketing101....If you're selling something, you would want someone popular to sell your products. Just look up the origins of the word "popular"...it denotes in demand, mainstream.
Not racist at all, but why are all the athletes listed African? Tim Tebow is popular. I mean come on, Tebow-Mania!!!! lol I think his Jersey Sales were close to the top if not was the top selling jersey in The NFL.
the fact that he isnt marketable has nothing to do with his popularity in the sense of the amount of people who would know him if they saw him as part of advertisement for a specific product, but it has much to do with his popularity in terms of the amount of people who actually like him. there are very few, if any products, that mayweather, because of his persona, would be able to promote.
tebow belongs on that list just as much as tiger woods, especially after he takes mark sanchez's starting spot this season:hey
Marketing 101 if you're selling something you would want someone who is liked and not hated to sell your products. Just look at Tiger Woods ever wonder why you don't see him on advertisements anymore.
It really depends on what connotation you use the word "popular". I see where you getting at, but if you don't see where I'm getting at...then don't go into advertising.
Hey Im a Browns fan, but anyone who has any knowledge of Football knows who Tebow is! I remember that Speech he gave after the loss in college where he said "NO ONE will train harder Than me" Or what ever. He didnt lie!
vocab101...one definition of popularity is "to be well-liked", which adds meat to my argument. Lemme refresh my stance: Floyd's lack of endorsements suggests he's not one of the more popular athletes in the US.
They offered the JETS the "Hardknocks" show that HBO i think does every year... They turned it down because of the Quarterback battle that is gonna happen.. Tebow!
wtf are you taking about. people went wild for Tebow, even if they hadn't known about him already. that lasted for a couple of months.
if you see where i'm getting at, then you can see that I can see where you're getting at. your point isn't very complex. your point is that, if he cannot be marketed, then he isn't "popular", in the definite sense of the word, and we agree on that front, but nevertheless, floyd mayweather is still well known.
