He is always in shape but I dont think Floyd was training as hard as he usually does for a fight until 3-4 weeks ago when he realised Hatton was training like an animal But he also looked scared on 24/7.
you cant be serious? Mentally (in the ring) there is no one better and more composed than PBF...second to none. How do you know how hard he is training certainly not from 24/7. I dont know how you got scared....i think your implicating what you hope to be the case.
Well DWTS proved he was not training like he should And he has a look of trepidation in his eyes on part 2
well DWTS was a while ago and he got voted off i think he still had like 3 whole months or more to get ready. i still dont see the scared stuf but hey...whatever suits you.
I dont think Floyd looks scared, he looks in good shape and boxing pundits have said he is always in peak condition for all fights and I dont believe this is an exception. However I have never seen such intensity with Ricky Hatton, and he is intense generally, the self belief is extraordinary. Boxers always think they will win, it's part of the game, and you wouldn't get in the ring in any other mindset, but the determination, and belief in Hatton's voice is somrthing else for this fight. What I didn't like was the part in 24/7 e2 and part of 3, about FLoyd's fragile body. Even if he does have brittle hands, which was common knowledge in any event from his actual fights, why devote 10 mins of the programme to it. I just hope that if Hatton pulls off a huge upset, no 'Floyd was past his prime, was damaged goods, was made of glass' excuses come out.
I think coming off the Oscar fight, this is the biggest question more than his skills. Does he mentally have the focus to go into a much tougher grueling fight than he faced in the Oscar fight? He's also coming off a huge payday, and his entire lifestyle is based on money, more so than ring accomplishments. We see all the typical signs of a stupid kid getting setup for a big let down and reality check. All the yes men, and all the people telling him hes the greatest, and Hatton is a one dimensional guy. This is what causes fighters to lose. Hatton may not have the technical skills of a fighter like Oscar, but he has youth, heart, and a stronger will to win than any other fighter Mayweather has ever faced at this level, and that is, in this case the biggest factor in the fight.
What are you guys talking about? Are you serious? I don't understand how you guys can judge if someone is menatlly prepared for a fight by watching 24/7. That show is just like any other reality show "Bull****" You won't now who has got what until the night of the fight. Here are 3 absolutes, they are both in their primes, they are both undeafeted, and they are fighting Saturday. Anything else is just a guess to us.
I don't think Floyd is scared at all; he certainly didn't look it on 24/7. If you think he has not prepared mentally 100% for this fight or that he is underestimating Ricky, you have fallen for his act and his mind-games.
Cute. 24/7 is no assessment of either boxer's state of mind or seriousness in training. 24/7 is illusion, promo stuff, hype, whatever name you wanna call the evil. It means jack****.
24/7, as many have already pointed out, is clearly favoiring Hatton. They show him training harder, and show Floyd out in Las Vegas, money in hand. They are trying to convey the image that Hatton wants this more, and is working harder for it, meanwhile portraying that Floyd's lifestyle and money have gone to his head. They have to build up the underdog so people smell an upset, they have made the series exceptionally well. In reality both have trained like dogs, Hatton seems hungrier and grimly determined in interviews, but thats nothing to go by really.
PBF showed he was very mentally focused during the Zab fight. He went into the corner and waited it out. The ref could have DQed him because of his uncle but likely let it continue because PBF didnt participate. After the fight started again, PBF went right back to where he left off, he didnt let all the bull**** distract him one bit.
Here comes the over-analysing. People should sell tinfoil hats before fight time. They would make a fortune.
