He was 2nd to Tyson and is still the 2nd biggest draw to Mike but then again its Mike Tyson ..He didn't do to bad at the time considering who was around at him ..Floyd is also the biggest draw right now because their are no more Heavy Weights worth watching ..You think Floyd would even come close to a Million buys if there were a Tyson around now ? I don't think so !

Oscar had crossover success ,Floyd needed Oscar to get that .,That's what separates the 2 .

yeah, but didnt oscar have bigger name opponents than floyd has today?

oscar had prime mosley, tito, vargas, X (4 boxing legends)

floyd had old mosley, old oscar, marquez and well prime pacquiao, but he wont face him

but right, prime mosley vs prime oscar today with a good 24/7 series and a big town tour from la to ny, fight probably would have made as much as de la hoya vs mayweather, serious.

Mosley was on BAD cards until he got the big Oscar fight. Even the rematch the numbers weren't THAT great.

Floyd had old Oscar and old Mosley but guess what they both had WAY WAY more exposure to boxing fans by the time Floyd fought them, than back in the late 90s.

Floyd had established PPV stars to fight. Oscar made Mosley, Floyd, Trinidad famous :yep

And Floyd Had Manny which most likely would have eclipsed the Delahoya /Mayweather fight . But hey that was his choice ..

Oscar/Floyd have the all-time highest. Tyson was part of #2, #3, #4 and #5. In terms of highest single event buys. Did something like 1.99 with Holy II, 1.97 with Lewis, 1.69 Holy I, 1.55 with ****in Peter McNeeley.

    Delahoya/Trinidad....DLH/Chavez with a 24/7 ? It'd be game over.

Mayweather-Alvarez would do at least 1.8 in September if Canelo beats Trout.

Why yall saying "If so and so Had 24/7".... Floyd Cultivated That ****.

    [yt]CKslSiCBLCo[/yt]

He doesn't get enough credit for what he brought to that promotion. Or his longevity since that fight.

The second biggest draw is actually Holyfield.

I don't disagree Floyd needed Oscar, but Oscar needed a big name to do remotely great numbers.

Of course people will downvote Floyd but the number speaks for themselves. Hate him but pay him! Being the villain pays.
