Yup this guy is a complete myth. No idea where this guy pulled his list from, so many fighters that dont deserve to be their and so many missing.
What part of "latter two" did you not understand? I didn't say Hernandez was a more dangerous fight than Corrales. Never mind the weight, Hatton was a much better scalp than Gatti or Baldomir, and so was Cotto regardless of what he did just prior to their fight.
Love The Hit Man but he's not better than money,I really think people let there emotions get into judging fighters.
Hearns resume and skill is better than Floyds. If only he had a decent chin he would have been unstoppable.
I'd add Morales to that list as well. He beat Prime Pacquiao and was the only man able to do that despite Pacquiao's top notch opposition.
Cotto couldn't keep it up for 12 rounds whereas Mayweather easily could, especially back then. Plaster or no plaster, Margarito would have lost 120-108.
I'm a big fan of the Hit Man and if he had a chin he may have been the GOAT, Money can do everything better than him but punch with power. Better chin better stamina smarter boxer let's just be honest.
actually, i have a hard **** time seeing Floyd beating Hit man. Hit man is probably Floyd's worst match up. Now don't troll along, read carefully to what i'm i'm about to say. Most boxing experts believe Castillo's reach, size and constant pressure were the keys to his success vs Floyd. Hit man had crazy reach but actually a much much much better boxer than Castillo. Kinda the same thing with DLH. Many believe it was DLH's reach, larger size and jab that gave Floyd problems. Again, hit man had reach and more power than DLH Hit man Hearns was outboxing sugar Ray leonard when they first met, Sugar Ray had to TKO him to win, late in the fight. Floyd doesn't have much power so i don't see him TKO hit man Hearns. Hearns had reach, speed, power and boxing skill to even outbox Leonard. He KO'd the **** out of Duran, had power to spare. His weakness, IMO, was he seemed weak and susceptible to aggression. Sugar Ray Leonard attacked him and won by TKO but again, he was getting outboxed up to that point. Hagler, had little chance to beat Hearns 'boxing' so he made it a brawl and just jumped on Hearns like a lion, even being reckless. Floyd doesn't have this aggression or offensive style so i see it as very very VERRRRRRY DOUBFUL that he would've beaten Tommy hit man Hearns. Very difficult fighter for Floyd to outbox, probably the worst imaginable match up for PBF.
none of what you listed is better than any of what i listed is basically what i was telling you. gatti was his career best performance, it was in a new class and a title fight. baldomir was lineal champ at 147lbs and was shutout, that is his best win at welterweight which he has been at for 10 years now.
Sorry he fought way tougher competition before his prime in his prime and past his prime....and in a head to head Hearns would pound him below the earths surface.....
I must say this my 3 boxers are Duran,Money and The Hit Man they are my favorites and I ask you rank them by skills not size?
Margarito lost to every single quality fighter he fought, and Floyd was above every single one of them. How can a guy whose predictable, slow and has no defence beat someone as skilled as Floyd? Its like claiming Arreola would beat Ali.
We can agree to disagree, but Cotto and Hatton would wipe the floor with Gatti easily and I would also pick both of them over Baldomir. I don't care if he was the lineal champ. Mayweather has fought and beaten better fighters at 47 than him, and he's about to fight another one on May 2nd.
And that was 21 yr old young green Hearns...he boxed circles around him and beat his eye out of his skull....know way could Floyd do that....you saw what Ray did to his dad a bigger version of him....
