Is Floyd preparing to minimize the flak he will get if he loses to Pacquiao?

Well, as has been said by myself and someone else in this thread, it is not the only other time he has not done a lot of talking prior to a fight and chose to concentrate on training. And guess what the outcome of those fights was.....

I got a feeling that if Floyd/Vegas pull any jiggery pokery & Manny gets robbed they just might have a bit of a riot on their hands

 

When was the last time he accused the other fighter of doping and racial slurs and all sorts of stuff. But after the fight is made he shuts the hell up? When was this done before?

 

If you're talking Maidana, didn't he say what's the point, he doesn't know what I'm saying anyway? I seem to recall him verbally jousting with Robert Garcia though.

With Cotto, there was huge public pressure on him to fight Pacquiao just prior, doesn't make sense to talk down the guy you're facing when you're avoiding another guy. Khan's doing the same thing talking up Algieri while avoiding Brook.

You bring up Corrales, didn't you know he called Corrales a woman-beater and said he was going to beat him for all the abused women? Oh the irony.

 

Him and Corrales almost went to blows in a Vegas nightclub before their fight was signed. And he didn't say **** before that fight. He just came out and destroyed him. Might be what happens here.

floyd just realises he is in the fight of his life here and everything he did up until this point will fall by the wayside, this is what floyd will be remembered for if he wins or loses against pac.

he is training like he is fighting for his life and at his age, with all the success he has allready made to be able to do that is something special

This is true. It appears he is giving it his all, so win, lose, whatever. I respect his approach to this fight. As a pac fan, you won't hear one excuse from me or I told you so whatever the outcome.

 

I dont think Floyd hates the Boos or negative reaction he receives from people. He has created this bad guy personna and made himself a very wealthy man in doing so. Would millions pay $70 to watch a man they hate box his way to a predictable UD every fight otherwise?!

I think he has toned it down later in his career as he wants to be a celebrity once he retires and he knows if he is hated by so many maybe this will not allow him to be. And maybe he has matured and realised that he isnt very good at public speaking.

Either way if you think Manny is taking this fight lightly you are mistaken. They are both in for the fight of their lives.
