No, I don't rank Floyd as the best of all time but I think it is possible that he may very well be and if he wins the four remaining fights of his career especially if a great opponent comes along for him to beat he may cement himself as arguably the greatest of all time.

The only problem with Floyd's legacy is the fact that he doesn't have that one real great triumph. Not to discount his accomplishments and the guys hes beaten because he has beaten many of the best fighters in his weight class of this generation but he needed that win in a mega fight with Pacquiao to further prove his greatness.

The fight never happened which is a terrible shame because if it did I feel it would've been great for boxing and would've been Floyd's biggest chance to be recognized as a consensus challenger for the greatest of all time throne. I believe Floyd would've beat Pacquiao. Its hard to pick anyone over Floyd especially from about 2004 on, he really has seemed to become even better as his career has gone on.

IMO Floyd probably is the best defenses fighter of all time or at least amongst the top 3. His chin cannot be questioned because he has never been dropped the only time hes been down is when he once took a knee because of hurting his hand. The only other time I can remember really seeing him hurt is when Mosley caught him and he kept his composure well and came back to dominate that fight.

His offense is very good as well, hes not the most devastating puncher but his punches are lightning quick very short and precise with perfect technique and when he does throw combinations he puts his punches together exceptionally well. Not only does he have fantastic skills and a great work ethic in the gym hes extremely strong mentally in the ring and knows his way around the ring as well as anyone who has ever done it.

Love em or hate him, Floyd is greatness and for me its a treat to watch his career as it happens.

Imagine how much higher Floyd's atg standing would be had he dominated Pac in 2009-10? What a win it would've been on his resume.

Floyd has the best skills and boxing IQ ever put on display by any fighter that ever lived. That's what puts him shoulder to shoulder with ATG's of any era. He is the only fighter that I have ever heard of being referred to as a genius. Say what you will, but he is one of a kind and ranks with the top five of all ATG's.

But it'd be weird if Floyd is in the top 5 ATGs ever, yet he'd be the one with the worst "best win" of all the top 40 ATGs. Doesnt add up. In boxing, accomplishment is everything. How can Floyd be rated higher than Duran, when Duran beat SRL, and Floyd beat Diego Corrales?

How can you say his chin can't be questioned and then say he never gets hit..?

so what happens when he does?

And to suggest no fighter in the history of the sport fighting in his weight divisions could hit him is nonsense.

What I meant was that no one can say he has a bad chin because he has never been KO'd or floored by a punch. I never suggested no fighters can hit him in fact I mentioned that he was rocked by Mosley, I just said that his defense is amongst the best or the best to ever be displayed in the sport.
