He is absolutely nowhere near the greatest, but I don't think even his most ardent fan would claim he is. There are many fighters who would beat Floyd in weights other than his peak weight, same as there are many fighters who would beat any fighter who fought at weights other than his peak weight - but how many fighters would beat PBF at his peak weight of 130? Two (Arguello, Chavez), one (Arguello or Chavez) or none??
Mayweather is a great fighter but not higher then top 30 in the ATG list. He could make top 15 if he comes back form retirement and fight for about 4-5 years and beat everyone out there.
your right as much as I love Floyd I would never say he is the greatest. Do i think there would be competive fights between him and some of the greatest SRR, SRL, Chavez etc.. yea absolutely, but I could never sit here and say he would beat them.. It sucks having such a gap in eras.. Wish I could just see these people in their primes fight..
If Pac beats Hatton, then Pac v Mayweather is a superfight that matches most in boxing history IMO, as the winner has a serious claim for top 20 or even top 10 OAT status. I think it would be the best fight since Whitaker v Chavez in '93 or Hagler v Leonard in '87, so you may get your wish to see your man in one of the best fights in history very soon.
I love how people make threads saying "people SAY...." then **** all over the fighter People are TALKING about...not one of those guys beat PBF at 130-135....LOL hearns Ko's mayweather EASY???? NOOOO PBF has never been KO'd, a prime ODLH ....BWAHAHAHAHAHA....TITO and WInky...so he can't beat a guy that wink completely destroyed??? it is funny how much people will dig to get **** on floyd..."well he has never lost and he is a 5 div champ...but if i say he isn't the GREATEST then I can just rip him up" stop ****ing hating...it is embarassing
that was a regular ward gatti ur right...:good...I saw the fight as a one sided betaing of a tough fighter than a tko?
