He would be a lot more "exciting" if he got knocked out every now and then.

I think that's the kind of exciting any boxer would prefer not to be! :hi:

It's hard for you to believe - I could not stand Guerrero, that's the truth :) - did you not hear Guerrero at the end? At the weigh-in? How could anyone not find that guy annoying! I was annoyed he didn't get KO'd - I liked Mayweather more in this build-up, grown up a bit - I'm not a hater and I'm not a fan, but think what you want, I don't care enough about whether he wins or loses

For the record, I thought Mayweather's performance was briliant from a boxing perspective - I even made a thread about his movement! But would have bee annoyed to lose a night's sleep over it, as it wasn't an "event". Anyway...you lot have to label someone a hater or a nuthugger so it's all good :)

He's brilliant but he's pretty ****ing boring! He's not worth paying 70$ over... I prefer offense over defense.. He runs and holds like a puss cake!

It must suck to be a white male pretending to be black over the internet! You got issues dawg!:rofl You are a wigger bro.. No matter how hard you act on the net you will still be a pale face in real life. You probably resort to homo sexual acts in real life to be close to a black man.. You swallow black semen so you have some black in you... You fake ass *****! :rofl

No legitimate ATG is boring, they all flash brilliance in a variety of different manners. In Floyd's case, I'm a fan of several other defensive fighters as well so No, absolutely not.

I would consider myself to be very foolish if i was to Say Cotto is an ATG but Floyd isnt when Floyd has accomplished 2x as much Cotto has . Miguel Cotto will never be an ATG . Please dont make things racial , thats highly annoying .

Okay... So what ? Name 50 fighters in the history of the sport who are better than Pernell Whitaker ?? I dont understand the point you're trying to make .

In all honesty , Hes missed his chance of becoming ATG status .

Back in the day when the welterweight division was HOT 2005-2009 . When All the top welterweights were fighting one another Floyd rufused to fight any of the Elite welterweights . Settling for Ricky Hatton , Carlos Baldomir aint going to cut it . If he would fought Williams, Margarito, Cotto , Pacquiao ,Mosley back then and defeated them all . He could have arguably went down as one of the greatest fighters of all time . But... He missed his chance . He just never wanted to truly test himself .

Floyd Mayweather is a hall of famer in my eyes . If He keeps on fighting opposition like Robert Guerrero which most likely he will , he will remain that way forever .

Its a known fact that, Floyd Mayweather is not offensively gifted, in comparison to his defence. So because i like fighters who not only make guys miss but make them pay badly..? i am fan of pop music.

The fighters i like are like Gangsta rap compared to Floyd Mayweather, like Motown compared to today's pathetic black RnB. Hey..? wasn't it Floyd Mayweather that walked to the ring with ****** Beiber..? why are you lying to yourself, Floyd Mayweather is a boring fighter. If he did not have all these 24/7 shows, all these outside the ring hype, allot of people would not buy his fights. If you make something relevant in the media, people will watch. Its a basic form of marketing, if Floyd Mayweather was that exciting..? why where people walking out of the arena..? why are people on all the forums saying that it was a boring performance..?

If he is so offensively gifted..? why is he not breaking guys down, stopping them more often or sparking them out..?

You might reply to me, and bring up moving in weight.

Listen David Haye has moved up from CW to HW, and is still sparking guys out, visibly hurting guys who ever he faces. And he is being out weighed by 2-3 stone on average.

Because David Haye is offensively gifted.

    Mike Tyson was offensively gifted.

Roy Jones was even WAY more offensively gifted than Floyd Mayweather.

Guerrero is no Sweet Pea, and still Mayweather was predominately landing single shots. His idea of a combination punching is to pause for 0.5 - 1 second between his 3 shots, i am sorry! But that is not exciting offensive ability.

Its economical, but in a way its amateurish style computer fighting.

Because Floyd Mayweather is relevant in the media outside of boxing, due to his hip hop style, girlfriend, 50 cent, music, money team. Allot of people bought his latest fight..? Not really clued up on what exactly Mayweather is all about inside of the ring.

And allot of people where upset, i know plenty of amateur boxers, real hardcore boxing fans that appreciate Mayweather but..? admit he is boring as hell.

You are only lying to yourself, you are only trying to convince yourself.

Be real with yourself, he is boring.

Nobody is talking about his fights the next day.

25 years later people are still talking about Mike Tyson fights.

People are still taking about Prince Naseem Hamed's fights.

People still getting nostalgic over Roy Jones Junior.

I doubt very many people will crave to bring Mayweather back, crave the way he had us on the edge of are seat! Before the fight, and during the fight.

I appreciate him as a fighter, and i am fully aware of his abilities.

    But..? He is boring.

you totaly right. when you watch other atg.

young jones was super, even older roy was more entertaining than floyd, just say richard hall fight :yep

bernard hopkins was often boring with his holding tactic, he might outdo floyd in terms of boringness, because often he was just rushing in and holding

yeah X and floyd are top boring atg. with all the talent they have and how boring they often looked, shame.
