As a fan of boxing Pac isn't the hardest fight out there, it's the biggest not the hardest.

To answer you question I think Khan represents a different challenge to Floyd than Pac. Floyd has seen speed, he has fought tall guys, but none with the combination of speed/reach. It will be interesting to see if that troubles Floyd and if so, what adjustment he makes. IDK if Pac would make a better fight than the rest, history says Floyd cruises and makes it look easy.

I'm a fan of boxing as a sport first and foremost. Secondly, I don't care at all about a fighters legacy. The fighter is the one taking the punches, doing the training, etc.. I'm just a fan. To that point I don't think Floyd's legacy takes a hit one bit without Pacquiao on his resume. When Pac was moving up it was how would he do against Floyd. Not the other way around. It's how would Martinez do against Floyd, GGG, etc, etc, etc... That says all you need to know about his legacy. Floyd is the barometer of which fighters are measured against and that's pretty much a fact.

Besides, a win over Pac won't get the credit it deserves because Pac hasn't looked spectacular lately and has been KTFO. As a fan do I want to see the fight? Absolutely!!! However, I do understand all the egos and the politics and the business of boxing that come along with it.

Good post. And i agree with the bit highlighted, i already said from this point if it happens it will mean not much, just like lewis - Tyson, and Calzaghe - RJJ

But still, want to see it to get it over with once and for all. When our genration is talking boxing in 30 years time, people will be having this same argument. Yes his legacy is secured (and Pacs), but if they fought win or lose their legacy will be elivated. The fab 4 left such a impact due to the fights they had with each other, if they never had them fights, i dont think we would remember them the same

When Pac-Mayweather was hot 4 years ago it was a must see. Now not so much. More fighters have emerged over the last 4 years or so. This fight is still the biggest fight that could be made still, primarily based on name recognition. Floyd has slowed some, not much but some, Pac has slowed a little more.. I personally think Tim Bradley deserves a shot at Floyd to be honest. not many people expect Tim to do much, but he just keeps on winning.
