Floyd does have a decent punching power, people just fail to realize that because of the way he fights. If he couldn't punch, his opponents would have an easy time walking through his shots and hurting him (if they first solve the movement of course), which is not the case. He just fights defensively without aiming to knock the opponent out unless the perfect opportunity arrives. If he went there to trade, there's a risk he gets hurt or knocked out, and he doesn't want to take that risk. He's fine with winning on points, simple as that. That's kind of similar to Cuban style where boxers usually outbox the opponents and only go for it when there's a good opening and low risk of getting countered. It would be silly to say that their shots carry no power.

I don't understand lol he isn't a puncher yet they all went down? Floyd has more power than pernell so no he's not the most feather fisted atg..

I never understand why people bash on non punchers like it's there fault... it's more something your born with.. you can work on it sure but only so much.. also lets remember floyd is fighting guys who are usually 10-15lbs heavier, when he was fighting guys his own size he was finishing them..

True. Because fighting Gatti at 140 was just an obviously feather fisted fighter.

He went up in weight, and lost power. He's fighting bigger guys. Canelo-Cotto-Oscar come in at 165. taking punches from a 150 pound fighter. These things happen.

He hurt Guerrero in the eighth.
He hurt Mosley a bunch of times.

    He stopped Hatton.

You go up in weight and people can take your punches better. Before he started moving up in weight he had a 75% KO rating.

If he was fighting at 140, against guys his own size. He'd have a higher KO rating. I think 140 would have been his best weight anyway. Kept all his speed, and his power, plus the opposition wasnt TOO BIG.

Anyway, whoever says Floyd isnt an ATG is hilarious. I thought that much was already known.

who cares if you don't have punching power (which floyd has some, enough to get respect from the likes of Canelo)? if you keep winning, it doesn't matter much

may at his current fighting weight is a glass fisted pillow puncher. to be honest may at 140 was a beast! his glass fists is what have made him such a boring fighter to watch over the last half of his career. he chooses not to fight an exciting go for the ko style of fighting because he is afraid to break his hands and rightfully so they are made of glass after all.

Mayweather has about the same career KO% as Roberto Duran, just FYI.

And Willie Pep comes to mind when you ask the question.
Sweat Pea also didn't have as much pop as Mayweather.

If you think a 57-58% KO ratio after fighting over 20+ world championship fights means your punches are "featherfisted," it would appear you do not know much about boxing.

Muhammad Ali had a 60% KO rate for his career... I bet he is "featherfisted" to the OP as well.

Obvious troll thread is obvious. He knows the answers, or at least should, but just wants to argue like a child.
