So you are predicting it will be a lot like Castillo. Mayweather gets out worked, out landed, out every measurable factor of boxing and each round is clearly a Floyd round becasue of ring generalship.

How can you be one of the best ever when Diego Corrales is your most impressive win.

A Golovkin nuthugger should never accuse another boxer's resume. At 23 year old Mayweather had already accomplished more than your 33 year old hero who at his age is still fighting blown up welterweights.

I totally agree that Golovkin is not an all time great. But this thread has nothing to do with Golovkin. He has no relevance to the thread.

The richest doesn't mean your the best, although Floyd is up there and he will be remembered as a great champion. As far as this era of boxing concerned he would arguably be the best.

He's a great business man and knows how to sell a fight to the fans, that's why he's the richest.

    Agreed ^
May 2nd is judgment day. IF he gets beat up by the Pac Man, the Floyd fans will go into hiding... he then becomes the most underrated fighter ever.

Floyd has been fed a ton of handpicked opponents. May 2nd he takes the test!

He's hated and frowned upon and disrespected by fans with poisonous passion so much that the only way he can possibly be overrated is if you rank him outside the top 50 of the last 20 years.

Have fun rationalizing that opinion in the next 20 years. You'll be like that one guy who hates on Roberto Duran every chance he gets, claiming him not a top 50 fighter, and embarrasses himself because the majority of those who have a respectable opinion overwhelm him in the opposite direction.

So far he is about level with Floyd when Floyd was entering 1999 or 2000.

Long ways to go yet, pal!

No he's not overrated, I just believe that unlike the greatest era of the 147lbr's (the 80's and the tail end of the 90's) the competition pool during Mayweather's era, doesn't compare so he has no true measure other than Pacquiao, who he will fight. All you have to do is ask most of his contemporaries in which reguard they hold him from fighters to trainers to promoters (even Arum when Mayeather was under contract with him:), and it's pretty resounding that they believe Mayweather is definately one of the best ever. Biased fans have to be discounted simply because we can be overly bias.

I cannot believe you just compared Floyd Maweather to Roberto Duran in that context.

Duran went up in weight and beat prime Ray Leonard.

    Are you kidding me????

I was simply exposing the hypocrisy of gggunbeatable. Injecting Golovkin's name into the conversation was not my intention.
