Ortiz will get about 5 mil and floyd maybe 20 to 25 mil but thats about it, after taxes and such its a lot less.
40 mil divided by 50 for a PPV is 800K sales. Although this PPV will probably be about 54.95 which is about 730k. Ortiz will probably make 3-5 mil which is about 75K PPV sales So we are looking at the fight doing about 800k-850k PPV sales to pay the main event. The undercard fighters as usual for a fight this maginitude will not be top paid fighters so i think it will do just fine. I see this fight selling fairly well in about the 1.2-1.5 range. Usually the gate for a PBF fight does fairly well too. I just hope if we are gonna get cheap fighters on the undercard they are matched well so we get some exciting fights.
Forbes don't lie. But haters gonna hate, people here crack me up, if anyone knows how read in between the lines they would know what this thread is about, Pac fans are Mad that Bob Arum is rapping Manny giving him pebbles, while Floyd can just waltz back into the sport and make twice as much as Manny.
That is why Gayweather will never fight Pac because he will get paid no matter who he fights. But the *****s are happy with that, gloating about that. This content is protected
HBO always gets half the PPV revenue. That has been the standard. That means, in order to just pay Gayweather alone, without paying the rest like the undercards, promoters, etc, the fight has to generate 1.2 million.
HBO gets money, the promoters get money, the venue gets money, the PPV providers get money, the referees and judges get money, the undercard fighters get money, and Michael Buffer ain't cheap, either. Do people think everyone is working for free besides the fighters? But there is also more than PPV revenue that goes into the pool. The live gate and closed-circuit purchases, for example. If Floyd was able to make $40 million against Mosley selling 1.4mil, he should be able to make the same against Ortiz who does not command as high a % as Mosley.
