Is footwork boxing's most overlooked aspect?

    Yes. He's got great technical ability, which is based in footwork.

    Other great examples, Mike Tyson & Lennox Lewis.

    Mike was able to transfer explosive power because of great balance, footwork and technique. He was also a master of controlling distance and cutting off the ring.

    Lewis, much like Wladimir, had great balance, control and technique. He was also a master of controlling distance, just like Manny taught Wladimir and Hearns.

    Separates the good from the great

    the ability to have your hands and feet working as one in rhythm and together is vital

    Footwork in all sports not just boxing is a big aspect, when I was a lot younger and first getting into various sports my dad used to sit me down in front of the TV and tell me over and over to watch a football play or a baseball play or a boxing round and said just watch the feet

    I used to think he was an idiot and watch for the entertainment of the punches from the arms and watch the heads snap back from punches but watching the feet and legs and then watch how they combine with the upper body and you will see how the power is generated

    That's really interesting. I never really noticed. Have to go re-watch some of Pac's fights now!
