Here you had one of the best heavyweights of all time. Undefeated and at his best. What ensured was 6 vicious knockdowns in 2 rounds. Perhaps the most destructive thing ever witnessed in boxing history.

Yeah man it probably is the most dominant, greatest win ever.

You couldn't beat a more qualified person, in a more dominant fashion than that.

I never thought of it in such a way, I'd put it contention with Joe Frazier's win in the FOTC and Duran over Leonard in Montreal and who can forget Tokyo Douglas? Or Toledo Dempsey? All in all Kinston Foreman was good.

Maybe a list of fighters and then cull them?

    Dempsey - Willard
    Johnson - Jeffries
    Louis - Schmeling
    Liston - Patterson
    Ali - Liston II
    Ali - Foreman
    Frazier - Ali (FOTC)
Ali - Frazier (thrilla in Manila)
    Foreman - Frazier I
    Duran - SRL
Duran -Barkley (duran says it was his best win)
    SRL - Hearns
    Hagler - Hearns
    Douglas - Tyson
    Tyson - Spinks
    Hearns - Duran
    Hearns - Cuevas

this should get things rolling. FWIW, my personal favourite is Duran over Barkley because of the advantages Barkley had going into this fight.

I I give the edge to Joe Frazier vs Muhammad Ali and Roberto Duran vs Sugar Ray Leonard. I would put it on par with Jack Dempsey vs Jess Willard.

I remain bothered by the way this one ended.

    Taylor didn't answer Steele.

Yeah I know. 2 seconds though . . .on the other hand Taylor was probably not the same afterwards. Steele's connection with Don King combined with Tyson vs Ruddock taints the whole thing for me.

Probably the most devastating win over an unbeaten Hall of Famer.

Kid McCoy's victory over unbeaten Tommy Ryan was much more impressive to me, even if it occupied many more rounds.

Love to see Hearns - Duran in there too. Possibly Cuevas as well.

Frazier was a bit past it, realistically.

Frazier was past it...he was never the same after the FOTC in 1971.
