No doubt, Steward is a great trainer. That's why I brought his name up too. But still I believe that Roach is better by a fair bit.

I could see how some people would say that Steward is better. Hearns, Lewis, Wlad. Very impressive.

The insinuation here is that Roach gives his fighters easy fights. When Roach started training Pacquiao all those years ago, who would have ever contemplated De La Hoya being an easy fight for him? And after Khan got destroyed by Presscott, who would ever have thought he could school Kotelnik?

You have to look at the work Roach did to get then to that level, rather than focus on their victories when they got there.

And you can apply the same logic to any matchmaker, promoter or trainer in history. Was Eddie Futch great because he knew Ali's weakness was the left hook and Frazier would land it? Or he couldn't avoid the uppercut counter, which was the strategy for Norton? Plus, you've got to consider that Riach gets involved in the hype and this talk of catching fighters at the right time, is to get into their heads.

Matchmaker! Just like that "Alexander and Bradley" need to fight. Why? Styles make fights. They are both big fights. Bang them out. But no.... Right.

The same clowns acting as though this was some legit crap to say are the same clowns that claim PBF was "ducking" when he said these guys are beating each other. It is the same thing right?

    no im not

all promotional companies have matchmakers working for their fighters

they'll ask freddie's opinion of an opponent but ultimately the promotional company and khan decide.
