Judging by his shitty handling of DLH in the Mayweather fight, his horrible advising of Katsidis, the fact that Israel Vasquez improved greatly after leaving him and the fact that Pacquiao's brilliance comes from his sheer ability not training is Freddy Roach the most overrated/overpaid trainer working today?
I have to agree with this one. It seems like the only guy he's had lasting success with is Pacquiao. Nowadays he's like a gun for hire...I'm with you man, I just don't get it. Some say Steward but Steward has built a lot of champions and improved the careers of guys like Klitchko that everyone thought was done.

Freddie's fight plan for Kirilov against Darchinyan was not very good. I thought it was terrible to be honest. Maybe Freddie Roach will do something in the future to make up for that one.
haha mcgirt is pretty awful but he hasnt had as good of fighters as freddy roach has. freddy fails with guys who are at the top of their division. he wasnt even able to remind DLH that he had a jab in the mayweather fight. I could have done that.
McGirt had Vernon Forrest, who some considered the #1 guy at 154, and skillfully guided him to defeat against the fearsome Latin Snake. But on the whole, you're right, Freddie has had the opportunity to work with better fighters.
While I certainly think that Manny Steward is a better trainer, I do indeed feel that Freddie has earned his chops and is every bit the trainer he's hyped to be. You can't blame the issues with Katsidis and other fighters on Freddie alone. There are circumstances we dont know about here as well.
