Roach is world class, You cant blame Roach for the fighters not performing at their best, his job is to put together a game plan and get his fighters ready to execute that game plan.
but once in that ring its not up to freddy to make things happen its up to the fighter, I thought Freddy did a good job for DLH going into the fight with PBF, Nobody truely can say for a fact, that Mayweather Sr would have done a better job we just dont know.

Buddy McGirt, although as someone earlier pointed out - is he really rated highly enough to be classed as overrated?

Think Roach gets a pretty hard time on here to be honest. He's not awful but he's not great, the fact he is high profile does not necessarily make him overrated. Some one like Manny Steward is perhaps overrated, but again could be just that he's high profile.

Is there anyone in Leow stable other than Pavlik? Given Pavlik's rise to prominence over the last 18 months then Leow could really put his name on the map as a trainer if he gets a couple of other champions. Similar to Enzo following Joe C's success.

I like Roach. And you've got to realize that when you train some of the best fighters in the world, you're going to lose some fights because they'll be going up against some of the best fighters in the world. Like DLH-May & Hopkins-Calzaghe who were P4P #1 & I think #3 at the time.

I think Freddie Roach is good.

I don't know a single fighter he's had who hasn't improved their fundamentals under him. He is very good at balancing fighters' talents with boxing skills.

He gets a few guys who lose but so what? I think he did good for Klitschko when Wlad was under his wing. I thought he came up with the best plan Hopkins could have against Calzaghe and did alright with DLH.

And Buddy McGirt gets way too much ****. He's a good trainer but none of his fighters ever listen to what the hell he's saying in the corner! It's absurd.

To be fair, Gatti boxing probably let him last a few rounds longer than if he brawled. He wasn't going to win that fight winging shots against Floyd...Floyd would punish him worse that way.
