How is it trolling when its the truth.

Just say it to yourself. "Carl Froch is the best super middleweight in the world"

It looks disgusting, imagine if you said it.

Even you have to admit that he is at least resume wise the best right now, all controversy aside.

I had Dirrell as the winner in Nottingham, and if he takes care of Ward he's definitely #1. For now Froch is as good a candidate as any.

Firstly, it depends on the level of performance of the two fighters on the night. The higher the level of performance of both fighters, the more significant is the result. Does Kessler put in a B+ level performance and gets beaten, or does he put in a B level performance and gets beaten. Makes a big difference...

Secondly, it depends on how dominant the winning performance is. Does Froch shut Kessler out and knocks him out or does he win by split decision in a foul-infested, ugly fight? Makes a big difference...

If Froch wins a clear, unanimous decision or dominates and then KOs a Kessler who has put in a B+ level performance, I think he has a good case for being No. 1, but so would Ward and Dirrell, and of course, so would Bute. This is because:

= Ward never looked bad against anyone and never had to come from behind to win or had very close fights (like Froch), but shut out Kessler,
= Dirrell performed much better against Abraham than he had done against Froch, and he had taken Froch to the wire when the two fought
= Bute dominates and KOs opponents, putting in consistent B+ performances, unlike Froch, who has never so far performed to B+ level.

The only fighter that to me would have a clearly better case of being No. 1 than anyone else is the winner of Ward vs. Dirrell, assuming Ward dominates and beats Green and assuming both Ward and Dirrell perform against each other as well as they had done in their last fight so far.

The fact is simple. Froch is shyte.

He was 14 seconds away from being schooled by a fighter who is no longer even relevant in the division.
He lost to Dirrell, and was given a hometown gift. Even if you think Froch did enough to win, anyone can see that Dirrell would school him in the rematch.

Ward would humiliate him. Bute would beat him. Kessler should even though he seems to have faded badly. Froch would be lucky to be considered in the top 5 of his division.

If you want to suck his nuts you will say "forget reality, forget what actually happened, just look up his record on boxrec". Might as well say that Ottke was a god of SMW - just as long as you don't actually look at his fights or make up your own mind.

Froch is on par with Sakio Bika.

Yes, you are right. My oversight.

    I will correct this.

    1. Froch (best wins Pascal, Dirrell, and Taylor).
    2. Ward (best wins Kessler and Miranda).
    3. Kessler (best wins Mundine, Beyer and Andrade).
    4. Bute (best wins Andrade, Miranda and Bika).
    5. Dirrell (best wins Abraham).
    6. Abraham (best wins Taylor, Miranda).

However, since everyone can beat Miranda... if we take Miranda out of the formula it looks like this:

    1. Froch (best wins Pascal, Dirrell, and Taylor).
    2. Ward (best wins Kessler).
    3. Kessler (best wins Mundine, Beyer and Andrade).
    4. Bute (best wins Andrade, Zuniga and Bika).
    5. Dirrell (best wins Abraham).
    6. Abraham (best wins Taylor).

Conclusion: Froch is already no. 1 SMW, but since Kessler was topdog, Ward (despite only having 1 quality win to Froch's 3) also have kind of a claim. If Froch beats Kessler, then Froch is clearly no. 1.

So is Froch really also the best H2H? Noone knows, and Ward certainly seems like a very difficult challenge. However, based on achievements, Froch is clear no. 1 now (with or without a Kessler win).

I would have Froch number 1 if he beats Kessler. I think Kessler and Froch swap places if Kessler wins!

    Now;
    1. Bute
    2. Ward
    3. Froch
    4. Kessler

    If Froch wins
    1. Froch
    2. Bute
    3. Ward
    4 (or lower). Kessler

    If Kessler wins
    1. Bute
    2. Ward
    3. Kessler
    4. Froch

Anybody who thinks a Froch win over Kessler doesn't count because Ward already beat Kessler shouldn't have Ward anywhere near the top either as Calzaghe already beat Kessler.
