Is Froch #1 SMW if he beats Kessler?

    Ward is the number 1 SMW in the world right now

    He got that title when he exposed kessler and gave him a beating

    if he "exposed" kessler, then beating kessler wouldn't make him #1. i wouldn't argue that ward is currently #1 though, but if froch beats kessler impressively then he takes his place, based on a an excellent recent resume.

    If Froch beat Kessler, which I am actually picking him to do, he would probably be ranked number one thanks to that win and the win over Dirrell. That said, I'd still take Bute over Froch.
