I'm gonna clear this up once and for all. That decision could have gone either way but was in no way a robbery. I'm sure if Dirrell had been given the nod, then there would be a lot of people claiming robbery then too. Get over yourself.
Nope, at the beginning of the tourney Kessler was the favorite. Abraham might have been the second favoured, but Kessler was the primary favorite. Anyway - look at my above post to see more in detail why...
WHHHAAAAAT? now you are definitely talking out of your hoop... Less points for a DQ win than a UD win? Wrong. It's 2 points for any win however it comes about, except you get a bonus point for a KO. Technical decisions and DQ's etc still count as 2 points
Thats a bit revisionist , plenty picked Dirrell to outbox Abraham. Even I did for christsake ! In fact Boxing Monthly ( like the Ring but better ) picked Abraham to have trouble all the way through becauSe there were so many tall boxer types for him to face. Andre has surprised many and looked really good but surpassing expectations does not a number 1 make !
Maybe. Noone is really arguing that because he has a chance. The main problem right now is that he will have to beat Andre Ward to do so.. and that will be difficult. __________ Either way, he is certainly not no.1 right now.
Just looking at that ( I assume ) official scorecard I thought they had given Dirrell the extra point for a stoppage. huh Y'know what that is actually bad , it means Abraham holds onto the top spot ( admittedly one fight more ) hmmmm that does smell a bit !
here and everywhere else buddy. Desperate fan boys who try to twist fact and logic, then add a sprinkle of bull**** to make themselves feel better about "their" fighter in a futile attempt to make everyone agree with them. I guess they think that if they say it enough times it will be true.
I don't like him but he would have to be. Victories over: Pascal Taylor Dirrel Kessler No one comes close to that, especially not Ward (despite the fact I think Ward would smoke him)!!! You also have to factor in that 2 of those wins would've been against fighters on their home patch, I think the super 6 has shown that's not an easy feat. The only other possible contender is Bute, but I still think that's pushing it. I don't think it matters anyway as I see Kessler stopping Froch in 10.
Let's settle on one thing. Andre Dirrell is a very very good fighter. Southpaw jab is a very very bad poster.
