i agree 100% with what your saying. i will go as far as saying i would have been fine with a dirrel victory.

had he got that victory i would think the manner that he won and the amount that he won by as very very tight. certainly not consistent with how good i think he could be.

i agree 100% about home town decisions and a draw might be the most realistic result, but i still think, right or wrong, that fight would have gone to the home town fighter more times than not.

anyone saying is was a clear 100% robbery on the level of say ll vs eh needs there head examined.

 

The supermiddleweight division is clearly the best in boxing. The super six tournement is something special because in my opinion you can't say who is the best before it unfolds or at least before the semis are done for sure. You got guys with a lot of abilities but you have to be able to see the qualities of everyguy and compare them to imagine who will be consider the best. You can compare resume at this point but it doesn't give you the best of them yet.

Froch: has a big tool box(strong,power,will to win,stamina,chin,reach) but doesn't have all the tools(slow, ordinary footwork, can be outbox as taylor showed)

Kesslerros:amazing jab,reach, when in control almost impossible to beat. Cons:simply can not adapt when guys know what do to whit him but it takes a intelligent and talented boxer to do it.

Abraham:Mentally strong or he was before last fight, probably the strongest guy(physical strengh) in the super 6, power!!! But has no footwork, loses balance, slow, relys on power and has low workrate, if in a big ring will be disadvantage.

Dirrelrobably the most gifted in the bunch, speed, power, reach, switches, his only weakness his that he defenitly not has strong mentally has the rest of them, he loses focuss when he gets tired or when he feels the heat but he improved from the éfroch fight so he may still get better but it will never be his strengh

Green: lots of talent with power, but may be the weakestlink of them all, hasn't show lots of balls so far and i think ward will complitely dominate him. But if his mind can maximise what his body can do he can be dangereous.

Ward: well i can say that his vicory against Kessler was a surprise to me(because i never much saw him) but he showed that he was the most brillant of them all and adding to that the fact that he is very talented, i think he will win the tournement.

Bute:even though he is not in the super 6, you can not say anybody is the best supermiddleweight if at the end of the tournement the winner doesn't fight Bute because i think Bute's resume will be even more filled when that ends. The possible fights ahead of him can make him a super star in the game and the fact that hbo are behind him and the fact that he is as exiting has it gets when he fights will surely make him an attracting fight for the winner and he can also fight the guys that or excluded of the semis and the final or the tourney.
In my oppinion bute's got the package, speed(hands and feet), power, very good finisher, even though lots of people question it his stamina is amazing(trust me) very intellygent in the ring(as most as Ward i'm sure) unbeiliveble will to win,good defense(footwork and head movement). Showed problem with preassure but solved it has apparent in the second Andrade fight, may be vulnerable on the inside but will take a good fighter to get there, we haven't seen him against a master boxer like Ward so it's still and unknown quantity. I don't see anybody else in the super 6 that can beat him if you match the style but Ward.

But he will only know in a year or a year and a half from now. But in the mean time we can only enjoy that division and cross the names of the guys that will lose until one will remain!!!

Yes Froch should be number 1, He would have showed that he could beat anykind of fighter. Even if I hate Froch, if beating Kessler is good to put Ward as number one for some posters, it sure is for Froch to be rated number one with this victory of Kessler, plus all the other big names on his resume.
