already there is talk of froch fighting a 2 match series vs bute and even a rematch with kessler.

ward has said he is taking a break and has no intention of fighting in europe , he has also mentioned that he has no deire at the moment to fight bute.

froch though has gained so much respect by doing what many fighters dont do....fight the best AND away from home , this along with his fighting style makes him more in demand that the stay at home ward.

ward needs a break because of his hand , it did look bad on the pics after the fight. What i can see happening is ward going back to Oakland to defend his title....but who against???

the wbc have said that ward must fight dirrell , is that a bigger and better fight than froch vs bute???...i dont think so.

the loss doesnt seem to have hurt froch as much as people have thought , the top guys still want to fight him because they know he will make himself available to fight the best.

if that double header come off vs bute then froch will make alot of money , probably more money than ward will make in his next 2 fight.

froch vs bute twice , a rematch with kessler and a rematch with pascal at 175.....great way to finish a career

I do think he is in a fair bit of demand. I'm sure I read somewhere that Showtime are keen to continue showing his fights (since they were some of the most crowd pleasing of the super six) and that may be a big factor.

Ugh. He’s better than his brother but he’s not ready for Ward.

I can't see them making it next, the Dirrell camp will know that he's not ready. I like him actually, if his name wasn't Dirrell I'd like him a lot more.

It's just when you see that smug streak of **** stood beside him that the red mist comes down

Yes, because he is a big name, classed as an elite fighter, is willing to travel and is beatable.

Bute's record is crying out for legitimacy, and Froch would provide that.

I'd definitely favour Bute - I certainly think Lucian has the best chance of really hurting Carl of anyone he's faced in his career. He's quick, appears to have very good power and really whips those uppercuts to the body.

Maybe. People only want to see Ward fight Bute where Kessler, Pascal, Bute and others seem wanting of a Froch rematch.

Also, Ward may struggle to get a following. He may have to adopt the Mayweather cockiness because he wins but you don't ever expect a stoppage.
