If Ward tries to run, Froch should just stand there. don't go chasing the runner, just stand there and let him come to you, even if the crowd boos, just stand there.
Well I think it's Wards ability to frustrate and tie fighters up. Maybe I wasn't being clear enough, I don't think he'd a particularly defensive fighter, though I agree he's shown he can nullify his opponents offence. Green and Miranda was down to levels, Jessler just could get off. I see what you mean: Froch will struggle to get off. That's fine. I just think he doesn't impose rules on himself, and Watd will not be able to dissuade him, I think he'll will his way to rounds as he has fought a lot of fighters who were faster/more athletic/talnted than he is and found a way to win. As I said, I don't think he can beat Ward, but I think he can do better than most. Bika is a notch below but hard as ****: If Ward can make easy work of him as well it will be another impressive win on his ledger. I see Ward winning the whole thing don't get me wrong. I don't think he's infallible and primed for greatness, but he has enough to beat what's left in the tournament, Johnson being tough and experienced but ageing and not particularly great (a determined throwback no doubt) and Froch not having quite enough to beat him.
What's Froch going to get done by standing middle ring waiting for an elusive opponent who is far more athletically gifted? I'm presuming you want him to lose every single round with a whimper?
Moving is allowed in boxing. Abraham pretty ably demonstrated what happens when you are unable to move your arms and legs in a boxing ring.
Ward also has a fairly high output, which negates any accusations of 'running', although how he keeps his head so close to his oppoents when he's apparently on his bike all the time (according to the poster above) I'll never know
If Ward can't school Bika (which he couldn't), no way on God's earth does he school Froch :-:deal Froch may just win this tournament and those who say he has no chance are just plain wrong. War Froch
1. Pacquiao 2. Mayweather 3. Marquez 4. Martinez 5. Klitschko The 6-10 spots are really anybodies guess. Why shouldn't Froch be in there? Better slate than Bradley, Donaire, Haye, Lopez & Gamboa.
I have Froch below Bute, Dirrell, Ward and Kessler in the Super MW division alone. P4P Top 10...you are having a laugh. Do you really think Bute, Dirrell, Ward or Kessler couldn't beat Abraham pretty easily? I'd probably pick Glen Johnson to win as well.
