Yes, I have said that, but havent said it wasnt a decent win. Those comments were in context to another discussion and not a discussion about Wards best win, which is what we are on now and yes I think its very likely now that Kessler was Wards best win.

Its like if I wrote I dont think Tyson was at his best when he fought Douglas. It isnt saying the win isnt good or that I wouldnt put it as anything less than Douglas best win.

I have said that I feel it could be Wards best win and I think its a decent win even if Kessler did have vision problems.
I read (I think it was Frazier) was blind in one eye but that was still a decent win for Ali and Foreman

The only other thing, Abraham was beginning to come back into that fight and was winning rounds despite the low blows holding him back, and then the DQ happened, so it is unknown what might have happened otherwise.

You're just trying to backtrack.

You clearly didn't rate the win when you said those things. And even if I believed that you thought that it was still decent despite those factors, it obviously can't trump moving up to LHW and stopping a dangerous fighter who was in his prime.

We'll leave it there. It's pointless taking it any further.

I havent disputed writing those comments.
Its not about how I rate it.
I dont rate that win as highly as several other SMW wins in history where those comments could be applied more.
What I am just agreeing to is that it could be Wards best win and decent.

 

Again, by your own admission, Kessler was faded, rusty, and had issues with his eyes.

Kovalev was a prime LHW who was a huge puncher, who you personally rated highly, telling me that you think he would have taken out a prime version of Roy inside 3 rounds.

So how can Andre beating a faded and injured Kessler at SMW, be as good as him stopping a prime version of Kovalev up at LHW?

Surely his win over Kovalev has to rank higher.
