I think Urango is actaully pretty good. He has alot of power and pressures alot better than Both Froch and De Leon. De Leon would be second since he is just as bad as Froch but i believe still has more power to KO his opponents. A clean left hand from De Leon and its usually lights out. Not so much for Froch. Why is it that England always has these hyped up fighters that i get all excited about and they very rarely deliver. I remember all the Hatton talk that got me excited then i watch him fight Collazo and saw nothing special. This weekend i had only seen clips of Froch like Hatton and was excited from all the hype telling my little brother to pay attention to that fight and he said it best. That guy is a ****** he doesnt know how to box. I agree with him
Under the right circumstances, Froch is about as an exciting fighter as you are likely to see, but that is because he has to brawl to win. I don't see the skills myself, but when I hear the likes of Duke Mckenzie and Barry McGuigan talking about him, I assume that there must be something about the guy.
We could say the same thing about mexican fighters who have been hyped up and have been disappointing. Like Angulo, Ortiz, Arreolla, Linares, etc.
Some people are boxers, some people are boxer punchers, some people are brawlers... styles my friends.. styles. If all champs fought the same boxing would be ****.
It's close, but Id have to say yes. He is similar to the other two in that he has no defensive skill to speak of and has slow hands. He is unique because he's the only one of the 3 who thinks he is Roy Jones in the ring.
You mean a robbery over Dirrell? I thought the polls were clear enough on that, but I guess to each their own scorecard.
Dirrell lost. Froch won. The history books reflect this and your opinion is of little relevance. i suggest you move on. :hi:
Its not abuse. Sometimes you see a boxer who just shocks you by how 'bad' he is. The first time I watched Ponce de Leon I thought he was drunk or having a fit or something. Froch doesn't look as bad as him imo, but theres not much difference. Of course these guys are still good fighters; theyre at the top level of the sport - its jsut surprsing they made it to that level when youwatch them.
:nono Why are you picking on Ponce? He was never marketed as a razzle-dazzle slick boxer, and the Lopez blowout doesn't discount his career up to that point. Linares got KTFO in the first round, too (not that I'm comparing Daniel to Jorge in terms of skill). DPdL was a very useful fighter, and yes I rate him (prime) above Froch in p4p ability. Urango just is what he is. Again, why pick on him?
