What has race got to do with anything? :huh You obviously have some deeply rooted issues to work out and if you have to result to crude insults you've already fighting an uphill battle :verysad
Groves does have decent power. No question. Who hits harder close. Id say Froch but wouldn't like to put money on it Froch didn't go life and death with Johnson that is myth backed up by a joke of a score card from one judge. who gave it as a draw so it was actually an MD. Froch a worst lost 2 rounds and even then that is being very generous he landed more and didn't get hit back very often i think one of the middle rounds he got caught with 2 decent right hands but that was it look at some of the press row scores. Judges at ringside : Judge: Mark Green 116-112 Judge: John Stewart 117-111 and thinking about when fighting at domestic level he was one timing the likes of Tony Dodson and Damon Hague moves up to true elite world class level, Stops Taylor late, stops Bute and Mack and nearly has Kessler out of there more than once Press row scores: Mike Coppinger: 118-110 for Froch, Keith Idec: 118-110 for Froch, Ron Lewis: 119-110 for Froch even the 116 to froch is overly kind to Johnson it wasnt a close fight Anyway Froch as good power - not Jackson like but if he unloads your getting hurt. Groves has decent pop as well not sure if its enough to dent carls chin
I expect Froch to wear Groves down but it isn't going to be an easy fight. Froch can be hurt himself in this one, my head is telling me Froch will stop him in the last four whilst possibly being behind on points and having been badly hurt himself. Froch's string of opponents have been over rated, he has been given a few gift decisions and he has fought people at the right time. Massively over rated.
Froch can hit, but he's not got concussive power, say like David Haye. Then again Froch's style isn't about looking for the big shot. Froch has enough power to earn respect, and is a strong puncher rather than a KO artist.
A lot of people on here had Froch losing that in the RBR. It was a close fight. The cards which really are jokes though are the cards that had Froch winning against Dirrell and the cards that indicated Froch dominated Pascal and Kessler 2 when both of those fights could have gone either way. Also the cards in the Ward fight were a joke as froch won 2 rounds at the most.
the outcome of this thread, frochs power is rated exactly right, and the only one who has it wrong is you. Never seen anyone saying Froch is a massive puncher, just heavy handed
I do believe froch will have to KO groves to win as he really struggles against quick nimble fighters. Jermain Taylor had him in all sort of problems for the first 6 rounds, only in the 7th did Froch actually start to dominate I see the groves fight going in the same way
look **** your the one who started to change the agenda then play an obsession crad like a t w a t , so to me it seems your a minipulating **** so all i suggested was you play to your strengths most ****s like you will come with the race card you strated the thread on power then jumped to groves doing better against an even further shot road warrior then on to his chin , then playing a ****ing obsession card when we made comparisons in the chin department you **** for features
At no point in the fight was Froch dominating. Taylor won the first 6 rounds with a knock down, Froch wore him down but he still lost the majority of rounds before the knock down.
To answer the thread question Froch has decent power but great stamina. If you stop working he can catch up to you over 12. Out of Froch's 3 stoppages at world level all of these guys took several digs off Froch and even Mack (who isn't really world level anyway) was only stopped on his feet. These guys were not knocked unconscious.
I acknowledged he wore Taylor down and stopped him but it's ot like Froch took over the fight after the 7th. He had won 2 maybe three rounds tops going into the 12th.
Sorry to crimp your manlove for Froch but he really is not an elite fighter and Groves only fought Johnson about a year and a half later. Given that Glencoffe is about 4000 years old it really is a moot point. And Froch's power is definitely overrated but it appears more so by you than Carl himself :nut
