Then facts show AJ as being an Olympic Gold medalist and 2 x unified world champion whose had 10 world title fights and 8 successful defences. There’s plenty of if and buts in there too. Just saying, Fury ain’t no unbeatable ATG
If Eric Molina is a successful title defence, I think we need to consider Schwarz and Wallin for the lineal !
Yes, he is. But so is everybody in the division. Nothing has really changed quality wise since the post-Lewis, W. Klitschko era. An era where boxing's marquee division became an afterthought that lost the public interest because of the lack of quality, competition and entertainment. All it needed was one guy who took the sport seriously, came in in shape with a boring, limited style to completely dominate. What's changed is the marketing. Credit where it's due, but Eddie Hearn has taken a turd and rolled it in glitter and everyone has been taken in. It's exciting again, it's competitive and interesting. There are several evenly matched fighters that would make for great fights and as fans we're invested in the division again. That doesn't mean it's good though any more than it means fighters like Crawford/Ward etc are bad because nobody knows or cares about them. I'm convinced if Wlad was ten years younger he'd still have all the belts. Joshua deserves credit for seeking the best fighters and beating them. It's just that those fighters aren't particularly great themselves and he isn't exactly blowing them all out in style.
A hype job is David Price. Even then, he's more successful at his career than most. Hard to call anyone with 2 wins over top 10 ranked opponents a hype job. Thanks a big deal. 40 or not, razor close borefest or not, he ended Wladimirs run.
Fury is the best heavy in the world currently in my opinion. Sublime skillset, good chin and good punching power.
Agree he is the best of a poor crop but his punching power is not great and his chin is a level up from the Amir Khan chin. What is incredible is his desire to win and recovery from being put down by that Wilder Bomb. A great character as well.
Undefeated current WBC and former unified heavyweight champion of the world who travelled to long reigning champions back yards to win the titles? ....but yeah he's a hype job. Some people need to develop a brain
Conquered the US market https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....lin-does-dismal-numbers-at-the-t-mobile-arena Nobody in America will pay to watch him, just the same as in the UK.
They pay to watch Wilder V Fury but won’t pay to watch Fury fight anyone else. That to me says that he isn’t a big draw in America at all.
Funny how after Fury beats him the bronze bumder is all of a sudden useless. Fury was an underdog for both fights on some betting sites
