Yes. He will have wins over the two best HWs of the past 20 years. Usyk & WK. It won't even be arguable. Unlikely he will though.
You would have to credit him for a very good win. So I guess it's possible for me that he might sneak in the lower ATG tier ... But this is kind of representative of Fury 's career - and his problem in general. He has occasional highs punctuated by fairly weak competition. He was capable of doing more.
Agreed! I think in terms of, to be the best, you got to beat the best. The be the champ you got to beat the champ. But when it comes to ATG status that type of thinking does not apply. I feel to be an ATG you must beat an ATG. That's what makes being an ATG special. Now, guys are called an ATG with less than 20 pro fights and not a P4P scalp on their resume.
No it doesn't there's plenty of ATGs who lost to non ATG fighters who aren't considered ATGs after they win. Barrera vs Jones RJJ vs Tarver
Usyk is a two-weight undisputed champion who has won and unified all his world titles in his opponent's backyards/on the road and he is fighting in a weight class full of giants who hit like trucks and who hold huge/obscene physical advantages over him. What he is doing is very different to what Belly is doing and one is way more difficult and physically demanding and risky than the other. Belly is a giant slaying leprechauns who he holds all the physical advantages over or huge ones over. Big difference.
Fury, Fury isn't an ATG.........................the question was about Fury not Usyk. Usyk was already an ATG before he even got to HW, at CW he's either #1 or #2 ever.
No Aj didn't beat arguably a better version of wlad, who was over 40 in that fight He looked better because he was fighting Aj
