Keep in mind Magic Johnson isn’t a “real 6’9” either. He’s 6’9” in shoes, 6’7.75” barefoot IN HIS YOUTH. Fury is noticeably shorter than a guy who is himself no more than 6’7.5” and that’s being extremely generous about Magic somehow barely shrinking.

Magic was always noticeably shorter than Larry Bird despite both being listed at 6'9".

Seeing Fury with Magic I can't see him above 6'7" flat.

Either way did anyone think Fury actually looked 3" taller than Wlad?

Fury looked about an inch taller than Wlad maybe.
He didn't really look taller than wilder.
He's tall but not a true giant like that Russian ogre guy.
If he was 6'9 he wouldn't move like that.
One reason he doesn't have RH power is his idiot people made him fight ortho but he's actually left handed.

Fury isn’t a hair over 6’7 1/2”. Seriously though, Fury already admitted to being around this height years ago on a sports program.

Is Fury necessarily perpetuating the 6’9” myth or simply not going out of his way to correct an originally supplied and inflated stat?

Ali admitted to being 6’2 1/2” a few times during his career - a height also listed on several of his passports - however, his long standing listing of 6’3” in boxing was faithfully maintained throughout his career nonetheless.

To be fair Wlad looked to be wearing some kind of high heel.

But clearly there isn't 4 inches between them.

Tyson Fury is a pathological liar.

After his boxing career expect the man in politics. He would fit right in.

Fury should stand next to another height inflator like self touted 6’3” Trump.

Based on that flawed reference people might then manage to “reconcile” Fury to 6’9” or so.

Yes Wlad always wore chunky shoes while Fury himself sometimes wore very flat footwear like slippers/sandals. You could see a notable height drop amongst his team when Wlad de-shoed to weigh in and he always put those uplifting shoes quickly back on prior to the face off.

I partied with Tyson the other night. Tons of blow. 40 or 50 pints. He's 6-3 on his best day.
