I mean, 80%-90% of the world feels he just lost to a guy making his pro depute.

His fans are trying to sell that he did not take the fight seriously and did not train. Could be. Could also be that at 35, cocaine, alcoholism, PEDs and obesity, along with a few hard fights, have taken their toll, and he just will never be the same fighter again. Or, the truth could be somewhere in between.

To me, he is shot until proven otherwise, and it only adds to the narrative of his ducking Usyk and fighting Chisora a third time.

I think at this point it would be totally fair to put not only Usyk, but his #1 contenders, Zhang and Hrgovic, ahead of Fury.

Joshua, Ruiz, Wallin, and even Wilder, whiles he was once demonstrably better than any of them (and indeed beat a couple of them), might have more in the tank. Names like Bakole and Makmuhdov come to mind.

Let's not forget that should he continue on, Ngannou is the better man.

I think it is a completely legit point of view that Fury has fallen hard out of the top five...and maybe the top ten.

His legacy is built upon beating Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora in two trilogies while shouting he'd beat any man in history. The façade is gone. So he'll be lucky to hold onto a top 10 ranking let alone top 5.

Thou art not false, but thou art fickle, To those thyself so fondly sought; The tears that thou hast forced to trickle Are doubly bitter from that thought: ‘Tis this which breaks the heart thou grievest Too well thou lov’st – too soon thou leavest. The wholly false the heart despises, And spurns deceiver and deceit; But she who not a thought disguises, Whose love is as sincere as sweet, When she can change who loved so truly, It feels what mine has felt so newly. To dream of joy and wake to sorrow Is doom’d to all who love or live; And if, when conscious on the morrow, We scarce our fancy can forgive, That cheated us in slumber only, To leave the waking soul more lonely, What must they feel whom no false vision, But truest, tenderest passion warm’d? Sincere, but swift in sad transition; As if a dream alone had charm’d? Ah! sure such grief is fancy’s scheming, And all thy change can be but dreaming!

Well he would kind of have to be considering how crap the division is right now. But he's not higher than Usyk or Joshua, and I'd put Zhang ahead of him as well.

    Hmmm...maybe something like:

    1. Usyk
    2. Zhang
    3. Joshua
    4. Hrgovic
    5. Ruiz Jr.
    6. Joyce
    7. Parker
    8. Bakole
    9. Wallin

The WBC boxers need their own ranking system. Let's start them at say, 10.
    10. Fury
    11. Wilder
    12. Whyte
    13. Ortiz
    14. Sanchez
    15. Makhmudov
    16. Ajagba
    17. Anderson

Maybe I am joking, but am I really? The WBC house of cards came tumbling down at the weekend...

We will see. Time show how it end.

It depends how You score that fight. All great fighters got worse performance and worse fight but here we talk about fighting even match with dude who is even not proper boxer yet.

For sure he dont deserve to be number 1 but that's smth we knew before fight with Francis. Top 5? I guess he still is in that area. Remeber that in top 10 ring magazine we got Wilder on top 2 (lol,) and Parker top 5...

Fury still better than this dudes. Problem with ratings is off course fact that You can have some place only because u avoid some name (Wilder Perfect example)

That's why we need Usyk vs Fury right now to end that story and leave the place for new generation and new story.

Fury is 35? Damn that’s news to me. I thought he was hitting near 40, but I guess doing drugs, depression and having a career that’s hard on you physically and mentally will do that.

I believe Ngannou is 37, but he looks way younger.

Fury had a bad performance, but so had Zhang, Joshua, and Usyk.

You just never know which Tyson Fury shows up.

Yes he is still in my top 5.

    Hes already thrashed Wilder.
AJ just looked mid tier against a Helenious that Wilder knocked out by blowing on him.
Joyce was just on the receiving end of a knockout of the year contender.
    Parker is... Parker.

Lets say we put Usyk, Zhang, and Hrgovic, above Fury.

And just for the sake of the argument, in this weird alternative universe Im living in where Fury couldnt beat Ngannou convincingly, if you scored the fight for Ngannou (Plenty of people did not), then throw him in there.

    Thats 4.

I cant find the justification for putting anyone else above Fury.

Now let me factor this in.

I am not convinced at this point, that Ngannou cant trouble the entire division out of a couple guys.

AJ was tentative and got marked up against Helenious. Anyone really think Ngannou has NO shot to give AJ trouble in there? Anyone think AJ is not going to fight insanely timid against a force like Ngannou? Do I favor AJ, of course. Am I confident in that? Not at all.

Is 220lb Wilder really going to have the physicality to stand up to a 270lb Ngannou that keeps coming forward peppering him with heavy, heavy shots? Do I favor Wilder, of course. Am I confident in that? Not at all.

The only ones Id be confident in at this point are Usyk and Zhang.

I dont even know what to think right now.

Fury vs Ngannous has melted my brain.

I agree but on top of that Zhang did perform bad against Forrest. Apparently he was sick but at the end of the day bottom line it was a bad performance. Against Hrgovic he was not the same dynamic force he was against Joyce either.

Usyk’s performance against Dubois was not that strong either. And Dubois is nowhere near World Title level. I think Ngannou destroys Dubois.

I think Ngannou is going to make more noise before he is done.

The whole division is crap, but Fury is still better than all of them. Zhang, Joyce and co are c level fighters. Wasn’t long ago when 6’1“ jerry Forrest was battering Zhang and the guy had won 2 out of his last 8 fights.
