Is Fury technically already undisputed heavyweight champion?

When Fury dethroned Wlad Deontay Wilder held the remaining belt. Fast forward to the belts Fury never lost in the ring being scattered around and then onto the second Wilder fight, Wilder still had not lost the belt he held when Fury beat Klitschko and the rest is history. Thoughts?

Yes, just like Manuel Charr is still the regular WBA champion.

Yes. Tyson Fury is the heavyweight champion.

He's won all the heavyweight belts in the ring. He's never lost them in the ring.

The ratings organizations and the staff at Ring Magazine all feel an overwhelming urge to try to "control" boxers when all fans want ratings organizations to do is rate the top boxers.

The "rule makers" all wish to exert some control over boxing. All they end up doing is screwing things up.

Tyson Fury is the heavyweight champion.

The man who knocks him off inside the ring will be the next heavyweight champion.

It isn't and shouldn't be any more complicated than that.

But the ratings orgs all go out of their way to make it more complicated. They don't rate the best boxers. They rate the best boxers who follow their rules.

If you don't follow their rules, you cease to exist for them ... even if you are the best boxer ... because their authority is solely dependant on fighters who agree to give them that authority.

When they don't recognize the top fighters who won't follow their rules, their ratings are useless because they aren't rating the best boxers (which is really their sole job and all we want from them).

And then they are just another avoidable problem.

Just rate the top fighters and stay the hell out of the way.

Uysk is the undisputed champion. Fury clearly lost to a novice, and no one with a brain considered him a legitimate champion.

Fury lost the belts due to steroids - he is and never has been the undisputed champion.

To be undisputed you have to hold all the belts AT THE SAME TIME.

    Fury doesn't.
    He's not undisputed.
    Simple as that.

Easy enough to not lose belts in the ring if you duck rematches though eh?

Still think that Wlad had a stinker of an off night against Fury and would have beat him in a rematch - but we'll never know.

He is going to toy with Usyk

Then comes the backtracking and excuse making.

Accept Fury as your lord and saviour and you shall have eternal life.

    You have a point :

fury is the ONLY man in this era who has hold every possible belt but bubblesUK is correct when he says the definition of undisputed means to hold them all at the same time.

So fury will be undisputed after beating usyk and vice versa.

If Fury 'toys' with Usyk, there will be no backtracking or excuse-making here - I will be hugely impressed and give Fury all the credit.

Absolutely not. He refused to defend the titles in a contracted rematch and "retired" for 3 years. Any claims to those titles are null and void.

The thing people forget when they say 'never lost his belts in ring' is that Fury failed a drug test and served a ban.

Surely you can't still hold claim to titles if you're banned for taking PEDs?
