I was thinking Fury doesn't really have a chance against the klitsckoes, but just thought about wlads fight the other night and have realized due to Furys size advantage wlad could not clinch his way through and he would get caught a lot because he is an outside fighter and fury has a few inches on him, If wlad try's to clinch he will get hammered on the way in because fury can fight on the inside as well as the outside, if wlad clinches he will get leaned on by the much heavier fury and will tire out quickly. I want fury to have 3,4,5 more fights before he gets a shot to gain experience. I thought he wouldn't have much of a chance against klitscko but after the other night and having a think about it I think fury has a good chance and it is close between him and pulev to see who can win. I feel that haye would probable beat pulev because he has more experience but it would be an interesting fight. also fury - pulev would be an interesting fight but with them 3 fighters if they fight each other they could set back their careers a bit when they can get a title shot without facing each other.
The fact that this is a legitimate question is so depressing to me. Fury is awful, yet he's the best up-and-comer out there. So sad.
Don't know if he's the best, but I think he's the most interesting. If only Haye didn't have his eyeliner incident, we'd know more by now.
He maybe one of the best that's left of the up coming fighters, which is a very sad conclusion. Price was exposed, Wilder has yet to step up to a decent level, Scott and Mitchell both defeated when stepping up. I'm not sold on Pulev and Helenius has done nothing since getting a gift against Chisora. You still have Stiverne but he in in limbo at the moment waiting for Vitali to recover or vacate. Fury will lose to Haye but he is young enough to recover and re-build his career. I've never rated Fury the top guys now would beat him but with the Klischko's, Haye and Adamek in the twilight of their careers what's left may not be enough to prevent Fury from picking up some sort of title. When Wlad a Vitali retire the division really will be the worst heavyweight era ever.
Come on, I think this HW division is **** thing is going a bit too far now. If Fury would be the best up and comer then HW boxing is truly doomed. If you saw the Pajkic (down hard, tagged constantly with the right and a British stoppage when everything was still in the balance) and USS (down hard, tagged constantly with the right and a controversial KO win) fights you know he's pretty limited and really is what the haters always accuse the Klitschkos of... Only there because he's big. I would be very surprised if he gets past Haye and favor quite a few top20 fighters over him. Sorry not sold on the guy.
I personally think Fury has a great potential to be a good fighter, he's big, has good power and he can fight dirty if needed. But time will tell.
Take away Wlads size/length advantage and ability to clinch his opponents to death and he's left looking pretty vulnerable. One things for sure, Fury is a much harder fight for Wlad than Povetkin was ever hyped to be
I never like fury, personally I had him ranked at the bottom of the big 4 up and comers. but then this happened -he got up from a knock down and won -price got knocked out twice -deontay prove he can't fight by fighting bums, the rumours of glass chin are probably true. He has a limited skill set that depends on size, power and agreesion alone. He WILL lose to klitschko and has NO chance of winning -seth got knocked out by wlad's trainer who by the way is like 200 pounds. Its not like he is ever going to beat klitschko. Frankly he made it far for a guy with so little experience Thus Fury is the first of the group to make it to the elite level of boxng. I f Haye never faked injury theyd be fighting now. Fury is 2-5 fights away from a title shot. He has the size to beat wlad, or at least force wlad to actually fight and won't be able to jab and clinch to death without taking alot of shots himself. Your jab length doesn't matter its how you use the jab. I've seen lots of small guys out jab a big guy like joe louis, duran, marciano, frazier and tyson. The obvious drawback is Klitschko is more SKILLED than fury/
One thing i like about Fury is he has heart. I know a lot of people on the forum hates him because he fights out of the UK and runs his mouth. But he is good for boxing. He has proven when he gets hurt or knocked down he does not freak out like Wlad. Fury has heart and even if he runs into trouble he recovers fast. Also he is very skilled and can fight well on the inside for a big guy. Fury will have some belts at some point. Fury has fought risky fights while Wilder has not. After what I seen from Wlad this weekend I think his best days are behind him. I think Fury could beat him at this point.
Are you kidding me. My god Pulev punches like a damn girl. Stop trying to hype easy fights for you gay hero Wlad. Pulev sucks and Fury would kick his ass.
I disagree that Wlad is more skilled than Fury. Fury can fight left handed and fight on the inside. I hate to tell you but Wlad is done. You seen him the past weekend. All he knows how to do is hold and cheat. Face it Fury will kick his ass.
Yeah Pulev, judging by his record has beaten several guys klitscko size or near it, he will fight klitscko next. Pulev is now #2 in the world and wilder is some how #12, his next opponent will be 21-10, I hope he gets knocked out by a bum
Fury has a ton of holes in his defense but he has been matched the best so far out of all the young up coming heavyweights. He's actually challenging himself unlike all these guys trying to protect their "0" and he has the charisma and marketability to overcome a loss while gaining experience. Skills why, their is alot to be desired but do love how he's been brought along.
