I mean beats old Waldo, then gets a long count against Wilder in the first fight, then knocks out Wilder who looked weak and anyone with a brain knew something was wrong with him?? Yet his fans are already saying he's the "goat "??

I like Fury. He is a highly exciting heavyweight. I have never seen a big man who can move as well as he can.

That being said, no, he isn't goat. As it stands now, he isn't a top 30 all time heavyweight. One decent win vs an aging Wladamir (who himself is overrated) and one good win vs a one dimensional slugger (Wilder) does not make an all time great.

Fury needs to beat Joshua, and a few more top 10 guys before we can even begin the discussion of all time greatness.

that being said, I expect Fury to beat Joshua.

So yes, Fury is a highly skilled, tough, and fast heavyweight. Exciting no doubt. And the adjustments he made vs Wilder in their rematch were amazing. But ATG? Not even close yet.

A very fair and balanced post
I agree with a lot of this

The original post im afraid is discrediting Fury by saying stuff like "long count" and that something was wrong with Wilder

    The count is legit

Yes there was something wrong with Wilder and its the fact if he cant bang you out he is screwed as he aint a very good boxer

I agree with your post except for 1 point I expect AJ to beat Fury in a classic.

I would like to see Fury gets beat up. AJ might fulfil my wish.

80 or so landed punches to beat old vlad
And the same again to draw with wilder
    160 punches in total
    That's poor real poor
although he threw more than 80 in the second wilder fight and fought like the fighting man he says he is
Now that was a great performance

You do what you have to do to beat the opponent.

True fighting man who throws 160 punches in his two career defining fights
some would brand him a charlatan

yes he is overrated. he shouuld have given Klitschko his rematch but bailed on it by doing coke and acting erratic. Really, he maybe could have beat Wlad again and beat the bum Wilder and AJ by 2017.... instead look its 2020 and we still talking about the same fights.. instead of having new blood by now and maybe Fury would still be reigning... hes got a long way to go... wilder was an overhyped bum that blacks bigged up so thats why Fury is overrated

I think the reason he gets the attention/hype or the ‘overrated’ word used, is his whole story.
His traveler heritage, his drink/drug problems, his incredible weight gain & loss, his character.
Boxing is only part of his story. Yes he shocked Klitschko, yes he turned in amazing performances v Wilder.
He isn’t the GOAT as some are saying, he is just a very good heavyweight world champion, among a fairly limited field.

    No

He beat Wlad in his own backyard who had dominated the division for the previous decade when nobody gave him a hope

Goes on the **** for 2-3 years balloons up to 29 stone

Comes back and within 4-5 months and gets robbed of a win against Wilder. Goes back to his backyard once again and cleans him out.
