I think Fury is massively over rated right now. He's good but far from a legend. He's getting legend like respect right now. The winner of AJ vs. Fury will get respect and be viewed as the #1 heavyweight for the past 5 years of mediocre heavyweight boxing.
Only in your *** boy dreams Fury is the real deal, a fighting man who will fight anyone in their back yard even if he's not even fully fit. If you don't have massive respect for Tyson Fury you are following the wrong sport because you don't recognize greatness Fury could invent a time machine, go back and replace Sonny liston vs Ali and whoop Ali and you'd still be talking **** Mother ****er
I can't imagine any HW of any era would relish getting in the ring for a competitive match with a fully fit Tyson Fury. He has a fantastic all round game and boxing brain excelling in quite a few categories. Physically unmatched, and laughably (to his credit) that also includes fitness / 12 round engine. I actually consider his chin to be extremely effective. Yes, he can get knocked down as has been seen but that is probably a good thing saving further punishment in the moment. To date he has always got back up and finished stronger, too. Fury is in his prime right now and has manoeuvred himself into a position where he can be considered an ATG with an exceptional legacy. This is just a few fights away (with the right opposition).
H2H prime Fury is in the top 10 ATG HW, only idiots with an agenda won’t recognize that. Hope he will accomplish more at the weight before he is done.
Only his fans (fanatics) are overrating him. He's definitely the best HW in the world currently. He is most assuredly not the GOAT over even close to being the GOAT.
"highly exciting"? Come on. In one fight, yes. If Fury 2.0 sticks around from here on in I might concede "exciting", but "highly"? Hell no.
I don't think Fury's really that overrated -- his skill and abilities are phenomenal. The only things holding him back seem to be discipline and consistency. A lot of people are just butthurt that Wilder demonstrated he was the real deal at heavyweight -- too many dismissed Wilder because he wasn't that graceful and fought a lot of bad fighters for his first few years. Fighting bums early on isn't even unusual, the only thing out of the norm was Wilder was fought more often than most. Frankly, I still don't fully understand the hate Wilder receives. Perhaps because he kept proving everyone wrong by beating more conventional boxers.
Uhm...no. DW was hated on due to his horribly bad resume for a title holder, not to mention the ridiculous things he said.
Yeah, because AJ beating Charles Martin was a lot better. It's easy to attack AJ's resume as a list of either bums or geriatrics. Weird how he never gets attacked for that. You're just butthurt Wilder kept proving you wrong. Be mad, ******.
Fury seems to be underrated by his haters and overrated by a section of his fans however it’s not overrating him to say he is the best heavyweight in the world today
