I said there was every chance (speculative), I didn't say it was necessarily a good chance. It's heavyweight boxing, and he had the physical attributes (power, speed and reach) to be dangerous to most fighters. If you want to disagree that's fine, but I'm not going to keep going in circles on this one.

Being a fan of Fury has nothing to do with it, and is a poor attempt on your part to try and bolster your argument.

Beating two reigning champions (one for the lineage as a huge underdog away from home) > former/future champions in my opinion. But again, if you think Buster Douglas has achieved more than Tyson Fury that's fine. I'm not playing along because I think it's a silly comparison.

Lastly, I didn't say that Fury beating Wlad alone was enough. Just that I thought it was odd people would rate Wlad above him seemingly irrespective of what else Fury achieves i.e. beating Usyk.

Fury's career also isn't over. Wlads is.

    9. Lennox Lewis
    10. Evander Holyfield

Something like that. That’s still leaves out guys like Larry Holmes and Wladimir Klitschko. Even though Tyson Fury beat Klitschko I don’t think he carved out a greater legacy then Wladimir Klitschko.

I think Tyson Fury is more on par with guys like Riddick Bowe and Vitali Klitschko as it stands.

Even though I don't agree with your list I think Foreman is too high and Holmes not being in the top 10 is baffling.

But I agree with your last comment Fury is more on par with Bowe in regards to resume except Bowe has a win against an ATG in their actual prime.

I was thinking about it a little harder. Even if Tyson Fury beats Usyk, Joshua, and Dubois next I think he still doesn’t make Top 10. Maybe he would be in the conversation for spot 10 but that’s highly debatable. More like Top 15. Maybe Top 20 even.

I am a Tyson Fury supporter. It’s not a dig at Tyson Fury. But you got to respect the long History of Boxing and the fighters that did come before him.

Fury is over Wlad anyway you look at it. But not top 10.
And he'll probably beat Usyk. Everybody on the money end wants a rubber match.

But there really isn't he would not be anywhere near the top in that era he only beat 2 ranked opponents out of 48 fights and one of those opponents was pushing 40.

Not a poor attempt at all you simply have no rebuttal facts are Wilder only beat 2 ranked opponents in 48 fights he also has a losing record against ranked opposition. Hence he would have more losses if he was consistently fighting against better opposition who were ranked it's quite simple really.

Beating a prime Mike Tyson is better than beating an old Wladimir Klitschko at the end of his career especially in the manner in which Douglas did it. Fury fought a sparring session for 12 rounds vs Wladimir without throwing a punch in anger, Douglas beat up and dominated Tyson knocking him out brutally.

I'm not saying Douglas achieved more than Fury i'm saying their best wins are comparable and you're missing the point. The point i'm making is that if Douglas has a comparable resume to Fury then how in the world could Fury be in the top 10 ?

Even if Fury somehow wins the rematch vs Usyk "if it's a legit win and not a BS decision" then he still wouldn't be in the top 10. He doesn't have anywhere near enough depth to his record and he has far too many poor performances to even rate him highly on a H2H basis.

Ok buddy no hard feelings i'm just passionate about boxing and when i think i'm right i'm quite blunt it's not a personal attack at you per se.

All this will be moot in a few years anyway let's see what the future holds.

Wilder was never a standout contender so I don't see why people are criticized for not fighting him. He's no more accomplished than guys Joshua did fight such as Parker, Whyte, and Povetkin.

    If by knockout then yes.
The only thing is that you can say he never beat Joshua but beating the guy who beat him twice is big

Definitely tops Wladimir. His resume is much better if he gets past Usyk.

I think if he beats Usyk impressively he's definitely top 10 or 15. If he gets comprehensively beaten there's an argument he falls outside the top 40 or 50. A lot riding on it for Fury in terms of legacy.
