Disagreed. Every ounce of grit and volition, and the relentless pursuit of mastery displayed by over a century worth of sublime pugilists give conext to the greatness of Usyk himself.
I hold great respect the gladiators of times long past, the contribution they've made to the sport and the influence they've had upon the gladiators who followed them. However, yesterday is yesterday, and today is today and it is our moral obligation as loyal fans of this most noble of sports to pay homage to our one true king and reigning monarch King Usyk The Magnificent and we must not and we will not allow the memory of the gladiators of yesteryear to be exploited and used as weapons of mass destruction to devalue and besmirch him and his greatness.
This will be a battle for the ages The greatest gladiator match in the history of the world: God versus man; day versus night; Son of Ukraine versus Bat of Morecambe!
No not even close. Bowe vs Holyfield = The best skilled inside fighting Heavyweight fight. Holmes vs Norton = Technical fighting at it's best. Much better than anything lard ass Fury can produce.
Fury would batter both Bowe & Holyfield inside. If you consider Fury's clinchwork inside fighting which I do. He isn't giving either man an inch of room to work. Big daddy Bowe might have been a big man in his day but he'd get big manned himself against Fury. One minute 270 pound of man tits in his face then the next a big long jab.
The only notable inside work Fury has is vs beanpole Wilder who isn't even on the same stratosphere as Holyfield or Bowe skill wise. Free flowing combinations, positioning, ----> Clinching mauling.
I'm still picking Fury to beat Usyk though I think Usyk is a bit overrated at Heavyweight, and i think it will be a case of a good big un beating a good little un. But....that's if Fury is in reasonable fighting shape, I don't like the fact he keeps ballooning up in weight it's going to take its toll on him eventually.
Fury is always going to balloon up. Problem for him is given his wear and tear (same with Usyk) continuous training and hard camps doesn't do them any good. Hurting a shot to pieces joint or ligament in camp is worse than being slightly out of shape. They both have to train smart.
They are both very skilled. But a lot of highly skilled heavyweights shared the ring with each other. I don't think anyone would say Mike Tyson wasn't skilled when he was a young champ. I don't think anyone would say Michael Spinks wasn't a skilled fighter, or Tony Tubbs wasn't a skilled fighter. Or Tyson Fury isn't skilled or Wlad Klitschko wasn't skilled. But those matchups don't often produce fights 'overflowing' with a display of skills. I don't see this one doing that, either. Stylistically, it's not a great matchup really at all. A lefty with little power who cries foul from any shot around the beltline against a big goon who likes to fight dirty and is just going to be looking for the body shots ... this could be over quick or it could end in a very unsatisfying no contest or a lot of things ... But classic skilled boxing match doesn't seem to be in the offing. It'll probably be a mess for however long it lasts. All those shots are at the waist under Lee's elbow, and Usyk would call all those shots low. This content is protected
I am sorry, but this just shows that you don't know anything. Especially with Ali, who did any number of things flat out wrong and got away with it due to raw talent.
