I don't know, a superfight with two straight white males? Not sure how that's going to be marketed in 'The West'. Seems pretty outdated. I could see it being popular in Russia or Japan, maybe the Middle-east, but not 'The West', which has moved on from that type of thing. Bob Arum definitely has mixed feelings about it.

 

The first time all 4 belts on the line in the Heavyweight Division between 2 undefeated fighters.

Great fight with all the above on the line but I was more excited by the prospect of watching Lewis v Vitali.

Depends on what you mean by biggest.

If you mean the most important fight to boxing purists, and you mean this century SO FAR, then probably yes.

If it happens soon, it will feature two undefeated heavyweight title holders, and the winner will be the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in quite a while, arguably two decades.

 

If that is considered the biggest fight of the century, then it would explain why boxing has been so poor since Lewis left.

The issue ain't Usyk, but rather its Fury. He's too big, too boring, too slow, can't box, annoying, hardly ever fights and frankly is just unlikable in every sense of the word. Keep in mind that's if you can even get him to step into the ring which he rarely every does due to him retiring/unretiring so often. People hold him up as if he's some kind of paragon simply because he's oversized. Get out of here with all that horse sheet. The man would get the daylights knocked out of him and be horrendously outboxed if he stepped into the ring with a younger Wlad or any other former champion from the 60 - 90's. He's bad for the sport and should simply retire so the division can be much better, which should be easy to do because he hardly ever fights as it is.

Not to mention his resume is crap for someone who claims to the best heavyweight ever. Whats his highlights? Uppercutting himself in the face, had trouble with an old Vlad, seemingly ducked Joshua back when it would've been a good opportunity to fight him and take a huge amount of pride in outboxing Wilder, who can't box lol and when he learned a little bit of boxing skill for the 3rd fight, Wilder actually ended up outboxing Fury.

The fact that HE'S the face of boxing, atleast in the HW division, shows just how much boxing has fallen.

 

Lewis v Tyson was much bigger than this will be if it ever happens.

 

Historically yes, it's the biggest fight because it confirms an undisputed HW champ, first one since Lewis.
Most popular or sells most tickets or PPVs? No, one guy is Ukrainian and obviously there won't be many
PPV's coming out of Kiev anytime soon and most likely Usyk will demand a free show for his war torn country.

Had Joshua defeated Usyk and Fury and Joshua fought for all the belts then possibly it would sell like May-Pac
and draw 80-90,000 to a stadium in the UK.

 

He was never undisputed, lol. He beat a gun shy Wlad while juiced up, then run away from the rematch, and only beat flat footed plodders ever since for a single belt. Usyk has already been a unified champion for a longer time as an active fighter than Fury.

Face it, mate: Fury has a laughably thin resume and is basically just a shittier and bigger version of Mayweather in terms of career management. He cherry picks his opponents and ducks the likes of Usyk and pre-Usyk-losses Joshua. Only six title bouts, three of those against a limited one trick pony, one against an almost 39 year-old has-been and one against a chinny plodder. You are doing yourself a favour if you realise these things sooner rather than later because either Usyk batters him into retirement or he retires after cowardly ducking Usyk for years. Either way he will always be just a footnote in boxing history. A lasting legacy can only be built by taking on challenges like Usyk. Drug cheating and an embarrassing family only gets you on the cover of tabloids in the UK but never in the IBHOF.

 

Oh, Fury is "too big, too boring, too slow, can't box"... Damned, bad Fury, bad! He's also has big mouth, is bald, ugly and fat. I mean, there's nothing positive about this man, he's the incarnation of everything bad and ugly in and out of the sport, yeah. I think he must burn on a pyre.

Fury is not "too big". At 6'7, he is a very big man, but when there's no upper limit as to height and/or weight in a division, there's no such thing as "too big". I never said he was "too boring" - not in the ring anyway. His constant lying and WWE-style antics are boring. "Too slow" - for Usyk, he is. For a man his size, he certainly is not slow, even though he has considerably declined since the second Wilder fight. He is still faster on his feet than any current HWs 6'5 or above. "He can't box" - that's just not true. I certainly never said so. The man can box, of course he can - he can box better than anyone bar Usyk in the HWs. He is a remarkable talent. I would favour him against anyone apart from Usyk. This is exactly why I'm so fed up with him. He has all the talent and physical tools to beat (what beat, dominate) practically everyone bar Usyk, and yet, he is messing around and stalling the whole division.

He is bald, ugly, fat, yes, all of those things. But I don't give a damn about any of those. Those things are not why I can't suffer the guy. What I hate is his antics, his ducking of top fighters (even though he, this cannot be stressed out enough, could absolutely take on and beat all of them bar Usyk) and the way he is derailing the whole division. Fury could be so much better, he could make the division so much better - but chooses not to, and drags it through the mud instead.

We could have an excellent HW era with several different fighting styles and personalities - and everybody is just waiting on everybody because Fury is the key player with his WBC belt but he is stalling the whole division.
