A win is a win not matter how disputed look at James Toney - many think he lost V Dave Tbieri but he's still an ATG.

It's maybe shown that Fury is more vulnerable than people thought and reduces his stock head to head in fantasy matchups ups but if he gets by Usyk and maybe AJ he will still be remembered as the best of this generation.

It doesn't matter. He got knocked down by an MMA dude with no prior professional boxing experience. If and when Ngannou loses easily to any other professional fighter, it will look even worse.

Put it this way, the majority of casuals who formed Fury's fanbase now think Fury is overhyped and a laughing stock for getting knocked down by Ngannou. There's no way to place a positive spin on it.

Ngannou would lose to any decent heavyweight.

To his credit Fury has not shyed away from the dismal display in his interview with "Koogs"

    Even his couldn't hide that

Take Whyte off the list please Mcvey. However it is a valid point.

Yep, and we all saw how well Fury dealt with a world class opponent...

    No more questions your honour.

It depends what happens going forward as to how Fury-Ngannou is remembered. If Fury beats Usyk and wins all the belts, the Ngannou fight will be a fast fading memory.

It really won't. People will want to see it run back and it wouldn't surprise me if it happens should fury win

Are people really that shocked? Fury had only stepped up above domestic level against two opponents. And he struggled many times at domestic level before that. The Fury head to head myth based off beating a shot 42 year old is over.

Most people think he lost to mcdermott and that hasn't seen to tarnish him too much.

It depends what happens from here on. Lose to usyk and he's a shot to pieces bum that was a hype job.

Beat usyk and he just had an off night.

Big Shane alluding to the possibility Tyson is a shot fighter. Says he’s taking charge of the USKY camp like he took hold of the Wilder II camp. Fury’s signature career performance.

Shane is the realest Fury, although I heard the audio of him threatening Mickey Theo saying they were all turning up mob handed at his car wash Tuesday at 1000, big John screaming like a maniac in the background. Mickey got his boys together Tuesday morning, complete no show from the Furys.

Big John is a certified DUCKER and he’s the head of the family.

Narcissists like Luke & his cabbage for a father are NEVER humbled

They gaslight, connive, lie, backtrack & twist everything & anything to suit their own narratives

The whole world evolves around them remember, not the other way round

Lets face it Fury was exposed brutally.

His recent career has been one great big money grab, and his body due to the abuse it has taken is breaking down. He cant move around anymore and box, his inactivity has really put paid to his timing and his boxing ability too.

It was therefore a great cashout for him.

As others have commented if that had been a Bakole or even Makhmudov in there against him, he would have been brutally put to sleep. Most of the guys in the top 20 would have sent him to sleep on that night.

Therefore, the Usyk fight is probably his last cashout before retirement. Usyk knows he will have a fairly easy night, If Fury turns up. The last time he was backed into a corner with the Wlad rematch, he ran off and played the mental elf card.

However, he will never live down that humiliation of getting put on his arse by an MMA fighter making his boxing debut. That is now part of the legacy of his career, a legacy he claims to not care about.

Fully dependant on what Ngannou does in the next few years.

Given his standing, it's unlikely he indulges in the rank and file match-ups needed to climb rankings, and to get a better handle on what his actual level is in boxing. He's way more likely to have either a Fury rematch, or a showcase match up rather than starting a boxing career, especially at 37, although his standing will help him leapfrog many in that regard.

The best outcome for Fury is that Ngannou actually ends up beating a name or 2, and then Fury wins a rematch.

However, there's no getting away from the fact that Fury is now part of a generational reference point which will live long in memory, and will no doubt lead to more of these pointless match-ups.

He’s a shot fighter, he’ll cash out against Usyk, lose and then retire

one of the worst resumes of a heavyweight world champion ever
