Parker came in too heavy and out-of-shape against Joyce and won the same number of rounds in 10 rounds rather than the 12 rounds against Joshua. It really wasn't that impressive. Joyce then got exposed by a 40-year old man afterwards who went life-and-death with journeyman Jerry Forrest. A lot of people looked very stupid afterwards as all the talk was about how Joshua was scared of Joyce and that Joyce had a chance of beating all the top heavyweights including Fury and Usyk. Joyce probably still has memories of how he was knocked out by Joshua with a headguard on in the amateurs.

 

I'm not one for triangle theories but yours is making Joshua's win look even worse which is obviously the opposite of your intentions.

Also I pay little attention to amateur boxing. Whyte beat Joshua in the ams. Porter beat Usyk ffs. Having said that with hindsight I think a confident aggressive minded AJ beats Joyce.

Parker chose to come in large but OK let's say he was lighter, what do you see happening differently?

Yes I know that Zhang had medical issues for the fight with Forrest.

If Parker came in lighter by about 10-15 lbs I think his stamina would have been better and Joyce would have found it harder to break him down. I could be wrong on that just my opinion.

Joyce is a top fighter but never as good as people made out. People were raving about his chin when he hadn't fought any big punchers - Parker and Takam aren't huge punchers. When you fight a big puncher with the style Joyce has you get found out as he did.

 

When did Joshua duck Wallin? Stop spreading rubbish. Chisora is also simply not Haye or Vitali’s best win, that is one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen. Ngannou should not even be mentioned there, Fury nearly lost to him and he’s not a boxer.
