Quite likely. He sure looks like he doesn't have the greatest whiskers. Maybe not Amir Khan-level china, but certainly vulnerable.

It's a safe bet he'll get starched when he starts facing top level punchers.

You have no clue what you talking about... Gamboa's chin is not only good, but also great. He went down only once in his pro career, and it was a flash knockdown in the middle of a grandiose cockyness moment, by a very nice punch on the back of the head.... Most current champs would have taken a lot more time to recover from that punch than he did (did he seem hurt actually?)...

Now if you think he went down twice (as officially scored), then my friend your opinion on boxing shouldn't be ever considered again... Or maybe you just didn't watch the fight. Putting him in a "P4P weakest chin list" is the most absurd thing I've ever read in this forum.

Interesting idea. You've lost all credibility Noob with "Gamboa has a great chin"
You obviously know jack **** about the sport....And to boot I never said he was on that list.....aside from this I predicted the shattering of Khan, which in hindsight wasnt that difficult however many didnt think it was going to be against Prescott...I did....so **** off son and come back after you watch a bit of boxing

lol How can you ever compare Khan to Gamboa? Everybody in the world except brits thought Khan was nothing. You predicted him getting KOd by Prescott?? Congrats! Actually it surprised me he made it that far...

And what I know about boxing? I'm not man-who-knows-everything, I'm only a boxing fan who watches every PPV event and some of the ESPN FNF, HBO and SHO every week... I don't need to be a boxing historian to know what I'm talking about. What you know about Gamboa's chin? Shiet. What I know about it? I know in his long career (pro & ams -- yes I know KOs are extremely rare in ams at his weight) he's never had any problem with his chin. And you're the dude who thinks he is all that going against the clear thing : Gamboa is the next big thing, you like it or not. His talent is unbelievable and that KD against Jimenez was nothing at all, as I said before. So please, explain how is that Gamboa has a weak chin. If anything, his ring cockyness makes him receive a lot more of punches than he should, and he never seems to be dizzy/lost or anything like that. My point is clear, YOU don't know what you are talking about.

Well infact I do know what I'm talking about..I agree with most of what you say about Gamboa with exception to his chin. I suppose I've witnessed the ruining of many chins and Gamboa gives me indications that he will fall into that category eventually...Neither of us are right or wrong....at least yet...This is a boxing forum and despite differences of opinion many on here including myself know what they are talking about as I'm sure you do as well, however it may be early to tell:yep

That's right man, too early to tell. That's why I couldn't understand your argument of putting him nearly the top 10 weakest chin of the game, we haven't seen anything yet. And yeah saying he has a "great chin" was also too far for now, but what better way of countering an exagerated point :) Anyway, after completely destroying Ramirez (I guess we all agree he will) he will probably go for the title shot and from then on fight only the bests of each category. I think that is what is going to happen because they wan't to make Gamboa that next money P4P superstar and not only an undefeated champ ala Chris John. So I guess our questions will be answered very soon, that's where the real test is coming ;)

He has already been knocked down by a nobody. Gamboa will get brutally KOed as soon as he fights someone with a pulse.

Flash knockdown with his chin sticking out by a natural lightweight who had won his previous 6 fights by KO, including one against Mike Anchondo (faster than Barrios could do it). Jimenez has good power. The other early KD was a slip where the ref missed the call.

There are plenty of guys with pulses who Gamboa could beat.

Very likely because he got KD and he's still trying to show-off by fighting with his hand down. You can clearly see that he wasn't in the best shape but he was still showing off. I was like," Cover up till you get your mind straight MF".

its amaizing how gamboa got a flash Ko on his fight against jimenez and has been labeled as "chiny"...he was never rocked or wobbling just went down and got up to continue dominating the fight...fighters like DLH,Castillo,Hatton,Barrera,Morales,Marquez,Mosley has been KO and they still prevail after it happened....Marquez has been down several times and he is top 3 p4p on my view...so lets wait and see what happens with gamboa..so far i havent seen a chiny one and he is improving his defense.
