To be fair, it's not right to say that when he's untested, when he's being taken into deep waters against decent competition, then we'll see!

    Gamboa VS Juanma/Marquez winner

Most overrated fighter of All Time? No.

Is he overrated by some? In my opinion...Yes. (But every boxer has fans overrating them).

It would prove he is one of, if not the best at Featherweight, which is one of the best divisions in boxing. So yeah, your right, nothing:patsch

A Moderator should find out whose alt this is and ban the ******.

  5. If you've only seen 3 of his fights... visit this great website called "Youtube" theres a bunch of clips on there. As far as calling him overrated and saying stuff like "only fights guys ive never heard of" ... dude maybe you should watch more boxing and get yourself a little more involved in the sport. Right now he's one of the biggest names in the featherweight division, while the other biggest name is under the same promoter. The fight has to get a little more hype around it to get made.

Go pick on a different division noob.

No, He defo deserves the HYPE because of his accomplishments in the AM's.
But I don't hate on HBO for trying to force feed him as a special "Pacquiao" type..
    (I swear I heard Manny's name like a hundred times last night...lol)

He is 28 yrs old, He still has a yr or 2 to prove the critics wrong.
But unfortunately he will never be what they want.

  7. Thread starter... when you make a poll you should try and actually give viable options to choose. This just makes you look and sound really dumb...

lol, welcome 28poster starting **** threads

He's pretty entertaining to watch and has the athletic gifts of RJJ. He JUST fought a B+/A- fighter for god's sakes. The only over-hyping he has had has been on ESB. He is NOT an over-rated fighter though. He has plenty of weaknesses that needs to be sharpened up, and MOST knows and sees that. But athleticism is quite an equalizer. Everyone enjoys seeing an "explosive" puncher, and thats what he is.

If youve seen only 3 fights of his, i assume you dont watch too much boxing? If you're just a casual fan then, why should we bother to try to convince you otherwise? Not that you're really looking to be convinced

Well, even from his generation I would say JuanMa was more hyped. I remember the ring magazine site front article: ''JuanMa is a star!'' After he beat Penelosa. Gamboa made a huge mistake by signing with 50 cent and going to far in weight.

    Interesting bump

I always felt he came in straight ahead with his hands down with his chin up but his speed let him get away with it. Crawford was the first guy he fought who matched his speed and he was taken out. No shame in that though

Best win is Salido. Decent list if names nothing incredible though
