I hope juanma stays away man. He needs an easy couple confideence fights. Gary would do what salido did without gettin hit and smackin the **** outta juanma

Fortuna fights on fnf this week in the main event against cruz,i like him, because he brings excitement and knockout power.People talking about russell, rigondeaux and many others, but i like this kid and he's only 22 from the dominican and i think he will be a future star

It's possible. I think he'd be more careful when facing a step up in competition, but he does have a problem bringing his hands back.

His T-rex arms will be his undoing

If he gets kayoed it will be at the end of a straight right (orthodox) from a rangy boxer-puncher

Gary russell has the same tendencies,i think fighters get like that early in their career when they have a man hurt,he's young and time to develop.

If he can put on a great performance and ko cruz, then the boxing world will take notice and then it will be russell's turn to step up his competition.

Gary Russell reminds me of a young Zab Judah in the late 90s early 2000s with the southpaw stance and speed.

We'll see if Gary can take a punch or has heart and those 2 are yet to be determined.

He has to stay in the pocket. He has really short hands which add to his speed. i have short and fast hands as well (nothing like Gary) and a lot of fighters with a short reach have speed.
His reach makes it harder for him to counter because he needs to stay in the pocket to land but his speed and power make up for it.
In his last fight he adjusted a tad bit and knocked his opponent out.
